The God of Amen Amen was the personification of the hidden and the unknown creative power in which the earth and sky were formed, gods in the creation of the world, and all that is in it. The word or root Amen, means "what is hidden," "what is not seen," "what cannot be seen," and this fact is proved by scores of examples which was collected from texts of all historical periods in this African civilization. In hymns to Amen we often read that he is "hidden to his children," and "hidden to gods. While this is a reference to the "sun which has disappeared below the horizon," but it also meant that the god Amen cannot be seen with the mortal eyes, and who is invisible, as well as inscrutable, to gods as well as his children." It also meant the hidden god within you. In all three of today's major religions, whenever the faithful pray (or agree with what is being said, or it sometimes means, "so be it", or "trustworthy"), regardless of language, they always end their prayer by saying Amen. The origin of Amen comes out of Africa, it is Kemetic (ancient Egypt), for Amen was the name of the "hidden one" or "not seen" God. The term was passed down through Hebrew culture. * * The God "Amen" is common to both the Old Testament and the New Testament. * * * "Praise be to his glorious name forever; may the whole earth be filled with his glory. Amen and Amen." ~Bible - Psalm 72:19 (New International Version) * * "Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel, From everlasting even to everlasting Then all the people said, "Amen," and praised the LORD." ~Bible - 1 Chronicles 16:36 * * "And all the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures; and they fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, saying, "Amen, blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and might, be to our God forever and ever Amen." ~Bible - Revelation 7:11-12 * * "To the angel of the church in Laodicea write: These are the words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the ruler of God's creation." ~Bible - Revelation 3:14 (New International Version) * * Don't forget to support: www.AfricanByNature.com
