Thinking faster doesn’t inherently make you smarter and I think that leads us to 2 conclusions:
1. Barry is always smart enough to do those things, he just needs more time
2. The artificial speedforce mainly empowered Barry to make dumb decisions faster

I know that a lot of people love WandaVision and what it did for MCU Wanda’s arc, but I truly wish that people would stop acting like it’s some groundbreaking feminist achievement when it fundamentally failed it’s only major female character of color.
Monica Rambeau is an amazing character and, having already been announced for Captain Marvel 2, she’s definitely going to get a lot more development in the future. However, Monica having one or more future appearances in the MCU doesn’t excuse the way that WandaVision’s creative team gave Monica a great set up – a victim of the Snap who lost her mother in the five years she was gone, who returns to work only three weeks later and is immediately sucked into a grief powered sitcom au/mental torture suburban hellscape where she is cast as a friend of the Star of the Show™, who is then blasted out of the Hex for reminding that woman of something no one is supposed to know about – and then, outside giving her powers, did absolutely nothing with it.
Monica could have been a strong counterpoint to Wanda – another woman struggling with grief who has been into Hex and therefore can understand both the absolute horror of what Wanda is doing and the reasons why Wanda might have gotten to that point. The show could have given Monica scenes that explicitly articulated why she has empathy for Wanda (before her speech in episode 7) or that had Monica or those around her reckoning with how far that empathy can or should extend given what Wanda is doing to the people of Westview. The show could have explored Monica’s own feelings about suddenly gaining powers that she, like Wanda, presumably doesn’t understand or the motivations behind her continual disregard for her own safety prior to gaining powers. But it didn’t.
While Monica was given some amazing scenes (breaking through the Hex, her speech to Wanda about accepting her own grief), the most constant element to her characterization post-expulsion from the Hex is Prioritizing Wanda/a White Woman. When Monica, Jimmy, and Darcy are sneaking around the base and Monica is talking about wanting to go back in, she is portrayed as fundamentally blasé about potentially ending up back under Wanda’s control, an experience she previously described as “excruciating, terrifying, a violation”. When Darcy follows up with information about the effects the Hex has already had on Monica, Monica has a more character based reaction – one that seems influenced by her trauma from her mother’s battle with cancer. Yet, that sort of moment rarely happens for Monica in WandaVision. Mostly, Monica gets her powers, briefly tries to get through to Wanda, is interrupted by Agatha, and is then removed from the board via a run in with Fietro/Ralph for the entirety of episode 8 and a good chunk of the finale itself.
In the finale, Monica not only gets almost no screen time, she gets a scene that, for me, fundamentally ruined what enjoyability there was in her WandaVision arc. Monica’s final scene with Wanda comes after even Wanda has seemingly accepted the horror of what she did in Westview and immediately after Wanda walks past Westview residents who are clearly not happy to see her. It’s also the first time Wanda and Monica have shared a scene where Monica hasn’t been under Wanda’s control or where Wanda hasn’t been immediately antagonistic towards Monica. So there’s a lot that could have been done with this moment. What the creative team chose to do, however, was to use Monica to once again center/prioritize Wanda, having her state that “they’ll never know what you sacrificed for them” – a line that might have some emotional resonance for those still crying over the final Wanda/Vision scene, but that also makes no sense for Monica, a person who understands the horror of being under Wanda’s control, to say. And then, since they weren’t done shoving Monica’s character arc under a bus, they have Monica declare that she would have done the same (mind control, hostage taking, mental torture) thing.
I get that the writers likely wanted to make sure that Wanda exited the show as a sympathetic character and that they probably thought that Monica, who understands the pain of losing someone, might naturally want to console her at least a bit, but the way they did it was painful and made no sense coming from Monica. Even if Monica isn’t the star of the show, her arc deserved the same sort of thought and care that Wanda and Vision’s got and, at bare minimum, she deserved better than being made a mouthpiece for whatever sentiments most immediately benefited Wanda.

Every girl has had the experience where a creepy guy asks for our number and we don’t want to give it to him, but we also don’t want to get gutted in a back alley. “Give him a fake number!” I hear you call, okay and then he says “okay let me call you real quick!” Because they are learning. “Give them your number and then block them!” Okay and then they can plug it into something like Spokeo, pay $10 and know everything about you. So what do you do?
First pick a fake name, I use Jessica, then download the Google Voice app, hook it up to your email, pick a number, and set up a fake greeting with your fake name. You can set it to ring your actual phone like a normal call or text but they don’t have real info on you.
Go forth and don’t get murdered, ladies!

ATTENTION ALL GIRLS AND LADIES: if you walk from home, school, office or anywhere and you are alone and you come across a little boy crying holding a piece of paper with an address on it, DO NOT TAKE HIM THERE! take him straight to the police station for this is the new 'gang' way of rape. The incident is getting worse. Warn your families. Reblog this so this message can get accross to everyone.

Drawing Short & Tall People
Any tutorials (or just advice in general) on drawing short/tall people? I see a lot of stuff on how to draw average-sized people, but when I go to draw someone who ISN’T average-sized, I find myself at a loss… Help?
Play with proportions.
The average adult human is said to be about 7 heads tall. This doesn’t mean all people, or even that most people are actually 7 heads tall though. Plenty of people are above and below that measurement.
To draw someone shorter, you can sever a head or two. Or add them on to make them taller. Most of that height tends to be in the legs, but there is some variation in torso height. It’s also important to note that head sizes vary as well.
I googled up some photos of people of differing heights and made a quick head count overlay:

The fandom:
Iris is useless. She’s not a genius so she can’t help the team at all. She’s selfish too. She never loved Eddie and only loves Barry for his powers.

Hairstyles on white female villians
When the Flash writers won’t let Iris or the rest of the black/biracial women wear their natural hair but the white female villians can have these hair styles.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now I know some people are going to think “It’s just hair, no need to make a mountain out of a mole hill.” I would proceed to tell you the problem with that statement. No it is not just a hair style in the Flash. By giving the white femals villians these hair styles the Flash writers are implying that people with these hair styles are associated with bad people. These hair styles are associated with the worst of the worst. Candice and people like myself have been asking for people who know how how to do black hair and make up. I have been asking for new hair styles for Iris and mainly other black/biracial women in the show to have variety of hair styles and yet the show does the bare minimum of changing up hair styles but the only time we actually see ethnic hair styles is on white female villians. Another problem is that people will call traditionally black hair styles ghetto, rachet or go unprofessional but yet when someone like Kylie Jenner or Kim Kardashian feel the need to be “edgy” or “cool” what are the hair styles they go for? Oh right hair styles that are traditionally meant for black women such as box braids, twists, cornrows. The moment a non black woman or white woman wear those hair styles then all of a sudden it’s edgy and cool? I feel the exact same way seeing the white female villians wearing ethnic hair styles. So anyways those are my thoughts on that. I am open to having a discussion about this please keep opinions respectful.
