with love. you have to fact check shit. yes you. you still have to fact check shit. a lot of people are great at fact checking stuff they don’t want to be true, but somehow are still absolute ass at fact checking stuff that’s rhetorically convenient to them. even people my age, who I KNOW grew up doing internet/bibliography literacy workshops, and being warned not to believe anything that isn’t reliably sourced, people who DO harp on fact checking conservative output or whatever, are still kneejerk sharing unsourced shit that is partially or wholly untrue or misleading, because it suits whatever narrative they’re pursuing in that moment, without even a “take this with a grain of salt”. fact check!!!!!! look at the sources!!!!! yes it’s a drag!!! do it!!!!!

*meaning: how many do you as an individual own, not your household or family collectively. But I understand it can be hard to make distinctions; but if you CAN make a distinction, please do.

So, fun fact about the skinned FurReal pony - I got the ID wrong, but only because Smores and Butterscotch's necks are semi-fixed in position, and I didn't think to google if the image I had of Butterscotch was mirrored.
The skinned horse IS Butterscotch, not Smores, but all of that's besides the point.
The reason I'm making this post is that y'all need to know that they skinned Butterscotch to turn her into a flamethrower

I need your help 🖤
I’m in desperate need of raising funds for food shopping, I’ve been trying to share my artwork to get more eyes on it in hopes I can earn money for groceries through commissions but sadly this hasn’t worked and I’m in a truly desperate situation now. If there’s anyone out there who can help me, I have a Ko-Fi goal for groceries & a commission page on Ko-Fi for my artwork 🖤
I’ll be eternally grateful for anyone who can help whether it’s through tipping, commissioning, liking or sharing so that there’s more eyes on my post and artwork 🖤
Here are some examples of the artwork I have done and what you can expect if you commission me to create art for you! ☺🖤

it's great when you get to a point where people default to she/her but there should be a type of transition where people start defaulting to it/its

i get that americans love their cultural imperialism, but it really does piss me off that june is “international” pride month just because something happened in the united states.
in aotearoa, june isn’t our pride, it’s theirs. marsha p johnson and sylvia rivera are their historical figures, not ours. the phrase that “you owe your rights to Black trans women” is true there, but here we owe our rights to (mostly) Māori historical figures. i have the freedoms i do because of the legacy of an entirely different set of people operating in an entirely different context at entirely different times.
But because of american cultural imperialism, most queer people in Aotearoa don’t even know our own queer history. Carmen Rupe, Ngahuia Te Awekotuku, the Dorian Society, Gillian Laundon, Georgina Beyer, and the Wolfenden Association are some of our queer history. We should know their names! we should know what they did for us! but because of the power of the american imperial machine, we don’t.
our national pride month should be july, the month that the Homosexual Law Reform Act passed in 1989. our two largest cities hold their pride festivals in february and march, respectively. american queer history has very little (or nothing, depending on who you ask) to do with our queer history. anecdotally, from my own queries, queer youth in aotearoa know more about american queer history than our own.
anyway, happy pride, americans. i’m truly sorry that most of you don’t see the negative impact your nation’s culture has on the rest of the world. and to the rest of the world reading this, try searching for your own country and culture’s queer history, don’t accept the american narratives as your own. we deserve our own histories divorced from the cultural hegemony of the USA.

Have I ever shown you guys these very early Laudna sketches?
My instinct was very angular and sculptural with Laudna (code name Noir). Marisha moved more towards a broken doll kind of look, with wide eyes and a broken neck. Then again- I didn’t know about the broken neck! I figured it out when the fandom figured it out.
I also remember Marisha asking for a break in her skirt with crochet panes and I was legitimately worried that I wouldn’t be able to draw crochet lol. I concentrated hard at leveling up on fabrics and materials in my time with the Bells Hells. I think that effort paid off- it’s one of my favorite elements of character design, now.
