Happy Heavenly Birthday to my Daddy Clinton Lee Reid “Prez”. It still feels like yesterday when Aunt Christine Cole called me. Sometimes I can’t stop crying when I think about you are gone, the last time I heard your voice or when you walked me and Melina to my car after our last visit. I thank God for allowing you to walk again and healing you totally and forever! I’m so grateful for the time we had together, how you loved my mother, Randolph Lajuann and I with your whole heart and soul and how you loved, encouraged and supported my children. Thank you for showing us true and complete love. Thank you for introducing us to international travel and living life to the fullest, intentionally, being adventurous trying new things at least once. Thanks for being a great teacher, tutor and coach. You made sure I was confident with my thinking, instincts and skilled in math, history, reading, soccer, golf and how to cook so many one skillet meals because you know I don’t do dishes. Thank you for sitting me down to watch sports with you as you explained everything and of course quizzed me, it has helped me with the relationships in my life today. Yesterday we celebrated my grandfather’s 94th birthday 🥳🎉🎂❤️ Millard Graves Jr (Pete). Caution ⚠️ long post! Let me testify! I called Granddaddy Pete. He told me thank you first grand I made it to 94! Said that I helped him have a happy birthday and if he don’t see another that’s fine. He hopes to see me in Heaven with Christ one day. I told him he will. Y’all this warmed my heart but brought tears to my eyes. These last 3 years I lost a lot of people from this side of Heaven. So I’m being very intentional with the people that enjoy me! There are major blessings in lessons. 1. Forgive it’s for you! 2. Listen this will help you heal! You will learn the person, their perspective and it just might change your life! 3. Flaws we all have some and we still have to love and be loved anyway! 4. Ask God who he wants you to help today it’s empowering! Then do it! 5. Obedience is the key and better than sacrifice! I know what My God said for Me to do! When you are a tool for God a LOT of people won’t understand it, do it anyway! Go with God and you will NEVER be ashamed! My Granddaddy telling me I helped him and the smile in his voice when he answered his phone is a gift to me and I will cherish this for the rest of my life! I ask God everyday who do you want me to help and I will! Make memories, make movement, make miracles! I love my family, all of them! Did I tell y’all my Granddaddy is 94 today!
