Right now I wish I was high
minutes fly like seconds by
bliss in this eternity
this distraction gratifies
oblivion is easy
melty thoughts slip slide into
my muddled placid seas
still spirals, half-life decay
missing moments absently
I can’t keep living this way

Sacculina spinalis is a bizarre parasitic barnacle that targets almost all vertebrates, including humans.
When the larva pierces the skin near the spine, it loses most identifiable organs, becoming a network of root-like threads that grows to envelop the spinal cord.
When its brood pouch is mature, it guides its host to seek water where it can release its larvae. The mechanisms for this influence are thought to be a combination of direct movements of the spine and electrical signals sent to the spinal cord.

hi there i just wanted to say your art is gorgeous. I am truly enamored by it and i hope you keep sharing your work with us! I was also curious if you have any tips for how to draw wings? You have just seemed to have mastered them and it has me in awe
Hello! Thank you!!💙 Over time, I came to a certain method of drawing wings, and it is based on knowledge of their construction. The wings are very logically constructed, and here is a small example of how it works. However, I advise you to watch as many refs as possible!

SIREN SONG, Traditional Watercolor, Nov 2023
NGL I was flying by the seat of my pants for this one. It’s hard to paint the ocean when you’ve seen it only a handful of times, and only once as an adult. Many techniques I used in this painting I had never tried before. I should’ve done practice swatches, but why do that when I could just do it on the painting and pray to every god in existence (and some that don’t) for it to work? Some techniques were more successful than others, but I am VERY pleased with how this painting turned out.
Accessibility: Siren, the mythical creature, not the device that makes loud noises, sits in a pool of calm water as she sings her song to a faraway ship. Her long green mermaid tail coils around her, as her human like torso stretches forward. Large golden brown wings extend from her shoulders in a sweeping motion. Her bare breasts hang free. Because why the fuck would a monster conform to human standards of shame and wear a bra? Besides, how the fuck would she even put it on with wing arms?

Say you ascend with Gale what kind of god would your character become?
My tav, Lylith Embersong, is a bard. So I suppose the God of Heroic Songsmiths or something. Like a bard god that blesses particularly heroic bards.
I feel like that would be a good match with Gale as the god of ambition.
