Wow I just had one of the best workouts I've had. I really didn't sleep well at all and I'm feeling kind of off because it's the first football game and I'm at home while everyone else (including john) is doing stuff for the game. I got out of bed and went to the gym and felt SO GOOD. I did cardio straight through and then did 45 reps of all of my kinetic workouts, including a few new ones. Then when I was leaving I weighed myself and I lost a pound! I really haven't lost that much overall weight yet, but I feel like it's definitely moving around and I'm looking better overall. My butt feels bigger and my stomach feels flatter. My thighs even feel more toned. Hopefully the rest of this day doesn't suck, but at least I started it off right.

I’m gonna be honest; this week was hard.
I was selfish. I was not a good girlfriend, daughter, student, or employee. I let myself get overwhelmed with all that comes with the first week. I only made it to the gym once. I gave up 2 of my shifts. I cried on the phone to my mom about cafe. I cried to John because he was mean to me. I had days where I ate horribly. My room is a mess. I went up a pound.
It’s okay. Because I had accomplishments this week too. I went to yoga and loved it / was talented at it. I went to the gym after crying twice in twelve hours. I picked up a TA job. I started bullet journaling. I feel so much stronger. My arms, and, and back feel so much better. I keep surprising myself every time I flex. I did cardio for ten minutes without stopping. I made healthier food choices some days.
I’ve never been more determined to change my life. I’ve never made this much of an effort before. It will not be for nothing.
(Also bought cute workout clothes today that will look even better when I get rid of my tummy)

Yesterday night I felt incredibly anxious for no reason. I went grocery shopping and felt horrible the whole time. When I left around 11 PM, I decided I wanted to go to the gym and just the thought of going made me feel relieved. I went from 12:30 AM to 1:30 AM and it was nice because it was empty.

John told me I looked hot and that going to the gym was working for me

The exercise part definitely is not the challenge for me. I’ve always loved working out and the feeling you get in the middle of a tough gym session. I love the satisfying feeling of sore muscles the next day.
What I struggle with is telling myself no. All throughout high school I was working out at least once per day and had no issue eating whatever I wanted and maintaining 120ish lbs. I never had to control myself food-intake wise and oh boy do I LOVE to eat unhealthy foods. Like so many others, college has taken it’s toll on me health-wise and I really want to finish this last semester strong and make a change for the better.

I woke up early so that I could drive John to TOTEMS today and I told myself that I wasn’t going to go to the gym, but then I went after I dropped him off and felt great.
I really resonate with the phrase “I never regret it when I do it, but I always regret it when I don’t”
