Here me out, i swear im onto something. Okay, okay, so picture this, wolfstar as marius and cosette from les miserables. Okay, canonically, remus is a werewolf, and in fanon he has a dad that is typically depecited as either being very paranoid about his lycanthropy or just avoids him in general, which is very similar to John val jean and cosette's relationship, with John val Jean being a paranoid ex convict and such. And then sirius as marius plotting to overthrow the french monarchy with James and all his friends by his side until he meets remus. P.S the actor who plays marius in the 1998 movie of les mis is definitely one of my top fancasts for sirius but just specifically in that movie, idk it just fits. Anyways maybe I'll try writing a fanfic about it🤷🏼‍♀️

Okay, I'm here to spread my literature agenda once more. Okay, so I'm taking AP lit right, and let me tell you that when I say I read the most devastating and thought-provoking novel ever, I'm not bullshiting what so ever. This novel genuinely changed my perspective on life and my perspective of myself. The novel is called "A Separate Peace" by John Knowles, and holy shit when I tell you I've never hated and loved a main character so much, I truly mean it. Everything about the main character Gene is complex, and I've never felt so truly impacted by a characterization before. I find pieces of myself in both of the main characters, which makes the novel especially more gut wrenching. As someone who is chronically ill, I really related to a character named finny who had to give up his dreams due to an 'accident'. It reminded me of myself during the early stages of my diagnosis and the grief and denial I went through. One thing that stuck out to me the most while reading the novel was the impact certain quotes had on me, such as, "Everyone has a moment in history which belongs particularly to him," "Because, unfamiliar with the absence of fear and what that was like, I have not been able to identify its presence," "I did not cry then or ever about Finney. I did not cry even when I stood watching him being lowered into his family’s straightlaced burial ground outside of Boston. I could not escape a feeling that this was my own funeral, and you do not cry in that case", "You have to do what you think is the right thing, but just make sure it's the right thing in the long run, and not just for the moment," and my personal favorite and the one that impacted me the most, "When you love something it loves you back in whatever way it has to love." Anyways enough read me yapping about this and go read it for yourself.

If you don't believe that remus's lycanthropy represents sexual assault then I want you to take a look at the facts. Greyback is notorious for targeting children, and I get that you could argue that the only reason he targeted remus was because his dad spoke out against werewolves, however it is specifically stated that he targets and turns children. I understand seeing remus's lycanthropy as a metaphor for chronic illness or AIDS, as someone who is chronically ill I completely agree that that could definitely be a way to interpret it however I want to make it known that there is a very real possibility that it could also be a metaphor for CSA. Anyways I would love to see more takes on this in fanfiction as it would be great representation and recognition for CSA, and I would love to see peoples takes on how remus may grow from this trauma. Idk just something to consider 🤷🏼‍♀️
