I guess it’s quite clear what I think about everything they’ve said here. It’s a treat, really, I mean, the rug-pull is “she’s in charge” and “the… the glass”? lmao Mark, you didn’t even try. But I just wanted to expand on something.
The way I see it, their decision not to have a pun in the title was to make it the outcast episode. It breaks the rules from its very title! And Mark was quite explicit in that they wanted us to take that as a hint to “look out”, because The Final Problem has a “transgressive nature”– we already knew it certainly defies all the laws of the show’s universe (that episode it’s both a literal and a metaphorical nightmare!)– and the oddity of it should be obvious from the first scene where we see Mycroft has a sword in his umbrella. “Oh shit”, indeed.

As an addendum to my “Miss me?” post, re-watching HLV, something else struck me as odd.
Moriarty’s video is broadcast all over.
Everyone is appropriately concerned / terrified.
EVERYONE:
Have you ever seen that look on Mycroft’s face?? Shit just got real.
So, of course! He calls Sherlock back. England needs him.
Mycroft was outside his car, visibly stricken with worry and reaches out to the one person who can help, right? A little thaw of the IceMan, but that’s not what we see in the very. next. scene.
Mycroft’s back in the car, cool as ice and oh so non-chalant about the whole deal???
