Quote
I was in Point Pleasant on a road trip. I was looking out the window and I saw a pair of GIANT red eyes. I said,ââŹÂDad, I just saw something with giant red eyes in the woodsââŹÂ he thought I was just seeing things. That night, November 22nd , 2003, just to scare me we watched Godzilla V.S. Mothra. This of course scared the crap out of me. The next morning, dad asked me to find a fishing creek, ââŹÂŚ. In the forest. Wile I was looking a dead dog fell from a tree. It had a huge hole in his stomach and there was no blood coming out. I looked up and saw it, the big red eyes, the green head, the huge blue and yellow wings. It hissed something that sounded like,ââŹÂ fresh blood and flew away. By this point I had already peed my pants and almost fainted .
Anonymous sighting of the mothman.

It is claimed that the Flatwoods Monster is some form of extraterrestrial, as this creature was spotted in the vicinity of a large UFO that either hovered above or rested on the ground in the town of Flatwoods, in Braxton County, West Virginia, on September 12, 1952. According to the reports, this creature was huge, at least 10 feet tall. Its face gave off a reddish glow, and its body was green in colour. Its head was shaped like a heart or Ace of Spades, and out of this strangely shaped head bulged non-human eyes. The body is described as being shaped similar to a manâs and dressed in some sort of dark clothing resembling a skirt. Reports ranged from the creature having no visible arms to short, stubby arms ending in long claw-like fingers.

Banshee
In the Celtic lands of Ireland, the Scottish Highlands and Wales, these are fairies (or in some traditions, the ghosts of women who were murdered or died in childbirth) that belong to a family or clan and watch over them. As harbingers of death, they are heard weeping or singing before the passing of a member of the family or clan they are attached to.

The Scottish version is called the Washer by the Ford because when seen she is washing the blood-stained clothes of those whose deaths are very near.
The Welsh version is called the Hag of the Mist. The name of the soon-to-be deceased is heard in her shrieks. Often invisible, she can sometimes be seen at a crossroad or a stream when the mist rises.

A banshee is said to wear red or green, usually with long, disheveled hair that is red, orange or even yellow. She can appear as an ugly and frightful hag, but she can also appear young and beautiful if she wishes.

The Sealand Skull, according to individuals who have examined it say it could have belonged to an extraterrestrial being. The skull does not match any known species on planet Earth. It is one of the most controversial artifacts discovered in recent years. The Sealand Skull has raised numerous questions that science cannot find an answer to.
The Sealand skull was discovered in 2007 in Olstykke, Denmark by workers who were replacing sewer pipes. Until recently, nobody seemed interested in this finding. It was in 2010 that the skull was first examined at the College of Veterinary Medicine in Denmark. The researchers concluded that they were not able to solve the mystery nor provide anything that would explain to what species it belonged to. The skull was later sent to the Niels Bohr Institute in Copenhagen. Carbon dating revealed that this mysterious being lived between 1200 and 1280 BC.
When compared to a normal human skull, the Sealand skull has several differences. For example, the eye sockets of the skull of Sealand are not only quite large but are also much deeper and more rounded. The eyes sockets of the Sealand skull seem to extend further to the sides. Examinations of this scull indicate that this being was most likely adapted to colder weather, the relative eye size also suggest it was a nocturnal creature, conditions that are found in space.
The images are really interesting and prove just how unusual the skull of Sealand really is. Even though the skull is similar to that of a human, there are still several differences that make it unique. More researches are leading towards the possibility that the Sealand skull belonged to an extraterrestrial being that lived on Earth. Other researchers suggest that it belonged to a lost and forgotten species of ancient humans, who were very different when compared to modern humans

Bigfoot

Bigfoot (also known as Sasquatch), is a cryptid humanoid ape-like creature that is said to inhabit the Pacific Northwest region of North America.Â
After five years of research, scientists now claim Bigfoot does exist.Â
Appearance & EtcÂ
2-3 meters tall.
Around 43cm footprints.
Weighing about 220 kg.
It is typically covered in dark brown or dark reddish hair.
Very strong, unpleasant odour.
Teeth similar to human teeth.
15x stronger than humans.
Able to run at speeds of 35mph.
Large eyes.
Scientists argue whether Bigfootâs diet is vegetarian, carnivore, or omnivore.Â
HistoryÂ

Early Native American tribes saw Bigfoot as a spiritual being, depicting it on totem poles, and had a name for the creature in their own language. They saw Bigfoot as a protector of the woods.
The British explorer David Thompson is sometimes credited with the first discovery in 1811 of a set of Sasquatch footprints.
Since then there have been many sightings of the creature in Western Canada, and in many states of the US, especially the Pacific Northwest, Ohio, and even as far south as Florida, where the swamp-dwelling beast is known as the Skunk Ape.
In 1965, Bigfoot was officially put on the endangered species list in Russia. Germany and France followed suit in 1967.Â

What is said to be a look-alike to Gill-man from Creature from the Black Lagoon, the Thetis Lake Monster was first seen in 1972. That first sighting, on August 22nd, was reported by two teenagers. The two claimed that they were chased down the beach at Thetis Lake by the creature and one of them even claimed to have been struck by the claw of the beast. They said that the hand was webbed and had three fingers.
Just four days after this attack was reported, two men also claimed to see the creature but on the opposite side of the lake.

Monster Of The Day: The Skinwalker -
The Navajo of North America are wise to be weary of the practitioners of the darkest of black magic known as Skinwalkers. These people gain their powers through profane rites culminating in the murder of an immediate family member. Utilizing animal pelts they take on the shape and natural abilities of any animal they desire, the most common being coyotes, bears, cougars, owls, & ravens. Skinwalkers can be identified by the peculiar way they move as it is said theyâre never able to perfectly duplicate an animals gait. Their animal forms are larger and more powerful than any natural animal and It is said that the eyes do not glow or reflect light like a real animals. However, while in human form their eyes glow like smoldering coals. They can mimic the voices of others and often lure their victims into the dark of night by imitating a loved one. Traditionally a shaman or medicine man is employed to ward or battle against these creatures, though those seeking to personally arm themselves against them use bullets dipped in white ash. [some unconfirmed accounts claim that silver also works]

â The dog had the body form of a greyhound, and it was grey, but there was somethhing really wrong with it. It had bloody legs and limped, but it walked more like a person would on feet and hands, its butt was moving to and fro if that makes any sense. When it heard me, it just stopped without turning (something Iâve never known any dog to do.) And finally, it looked over its shoulder at me and this is the freaky partâŚâŚ..this dog was looking at me the way a person does. It had HUGE eyesâŚ.way too big for a greyhound, and its teeth were bared like it was considering biting me.â

Skinwalkers
Skinwalkers are in Native American legends, particularly Navajo (they are called yee naaldlooshii directly translating to âwith it, he goes on all foursâ). They are believed to be a person with supernatural abilities to turn into any animal they desire. In some cases, skinwalkers wear the pelt of the animal. The Yee Naaldlooshii They are one of the several varieties of the Navajo witch (specifically the âĂĄntâÄŻÄŻhni) . In some versions, men or women who have attainted the highest level of priest hood are called clizyati, translating to âpure evilâ, when they commit the act of killing a close blood relative (sister, brother, mother, father), incest, or necrophilia. This act is said to destroy their humanity and allow them to fully immerse themselves in the teachings of the Witchery Way.
The âĂĄntâÄŻÄŻhnii are human beings who have gained supernatural power by breaking a cultural taboo.
Specifically, a person is said to gain the power to become a yee naaldlooshii upon initiation into the Witchery Way (witchcraft).
This is done especially via the Navajo equivalent of the âBlack Massâ, a depraved âsing" (Navajo ceremonial) used to curse instead of to heal.
Both men and women can become âĂĄntâÄŻÄŻhnii and therefore possibly skinwalkers, but men are far more numerous.
It is generally thought that only childless women can become witches.Â
Not every witch is a skinwalker, but every skinwalker is a witch.
Animal Forms

The most common forms are:
Coyote
Fox
Wolf
Eagle
Owl
Crow
The yee naaldlooshii is said to have the power to assume the form of any animal they choose, a decision based on what specific abilities are needed. For example, Witches may use a bird form for expedient travel in pursuit, escape, or otherwise. Some Navajo also believe that skinwalkers have the ability to steal the face of a person. The Navajo believe that if you ever lock eyes with a skinwalker, they can absorb themselves into your body. Alternately, some Navajos believe that if you make eye contact with a skinwalker, your body will freeze up due to the fear of them and the skinwalker will use that fear to gain power and energy.
AppearanceÂ
A skinwalker is usually described as hairy, except for an animal skin.
Some Navajos describe them as a perfect version of the animal in question.Â
The skin may just be a mask, like those which are the only garment worn in the witchesâ sing, which is the opposite of the good sing.
Because animal skins are used primarily by skinwalkers, the pelt of animals such as bears, coyotes, wolves, and cougars are considered taboo. Sheepskin and buckskin are probably two of the few hides used by Navajos; the others are not used for ceremonial purposes.
Danger
Many Navajo people will tell of their encounter with a skinwalker, but will hesitate and often not reveal the story to non-Navajos, or to talk of such things at night because it is believed that talking of skinwalkers will draw them near you.
Skinwalker may stalk people, knock on the windows, and climb onto the roofs. Sometimes, a strange, animal-like figure is seen standing outside the window, peering in. Other times, a skinwalker may attack a vehicle and cause a car accident.
Protection
The skinwalkers are described as being fast, agile, and impossible to catch. Though some attempts have been made to shoot or kill one, they are not usually successful. Sometimes a wounded skinwalker will escape, only to have someone turn up later with a similar wound which reveals them to be the witch.
Varieties:
If you get the skinwalker to talk while in animal form, they will never be able to shapeshift again, and will revert back to human form.
White ash rubbed on bullets.
Saying their full name (and about three days later that person would either get sick or die for the wrong that they have committed).
Legend has it skinwalkers can have the power to read human thoughts. They also possess the ability to make any human or animal noise they choose. A skinwalker may use the voice of a relative or the cry of an infant to lure victims out of the safety of their homes; the skin walkers cannot enter a home without invitation.

She asks me, âoh crap, Meg, did you bring that extra sleeping bag for me?â and I say yeah, Iâve got it, weâre good. We keep walking and by now weâre pretty far away from the camp, walking through the undergrowth parallel to a stream. On the other side of the stream is a load of brush, and suddenly we both here a strange voice coming from over there. It was so inhuman it sounded more like an animal at first.
âBeeeeehhh did yeeeyyee bbrbrbring da eeetra eeeeepi beeerrrrrggg fo me?â
It repeats several times, and each time it sounds more and more like my friend. By this point weâre terrified and we start running back; the entire time, we can hear leaves moving behind us. Weâre too terrified to look, and suddenly from behind us in a low whimper, we hear the voice again.
âWaaait Iâm hurt!â
The voice sounded just like me.
Iâm crying by this point. We keep running, and as we get closer to the opening in the field we were camping in, the bushes are thicker. Weâre not really that fit and we had been running pretty hard, so weâre gasping for air.Â
âTired YET?â
This time the voice came from directly to the right of us, and it sounded like my friend again except for the last word sounded almost like a bark. Iâm shaking so hard at this point and despite myself I turn and look back. Thereâs a massive mound of fur in the bushes that turns back the way we came from, vanishing back into the trees. We get to camp and tell our friends what happened and of course they donât believe us, but we refuse to stay that night anyway and get in my friendâs car. We drive to a nearby town and check into a cheap motel for the night.
At about 10pm, my friendâs phone rings. Itâs our friends at the camp, and they sound pissed.
âJesus will you guys give it up? Itâs been two hours, youâre not scaring us! Youâre just keeping us from sleeping!â
My friend freaks out and gets hysterical begging them to leave. Theyâre convinced itâs us, and that we drove back there to prank them. They say they can hear our voices in the woods, yelling that weâre hurt and for them to come and help us. They donât believe itâs not us, so I turn up the motel TV and let them hear that weâre in town.
They hang up immediately and drive to our motel and spend the rest of the night with us. The next day, we went back for our stuff and weâve never been camping since.
