Settling into a crouching position, the brunette participated in a staring battle against a furry little beast sporting a ringed tail. A brief analysis of its appearance judged it to be a pet, as it maintained a healthy body and fur coat, compared to various strays found within the depths of the city's alleyways. Had Minako not taken the opportunity to rest her ears from the restraints of the earphones, she would've utterly been deaf to its bestial language and follow alongside the flow of pedestrians streaming across the sidewalk.

"Hm...I wonder who your owner is?"

A Warming Welcome {Laei}

One thing to be expected of a metropolis: the large influx of people. A typical fact Minako should have been wary of, had her mind not wandered elsewhere. Yet the circumstances leading to awakening in Hive baffled her into an absentminded stupor. Naturally, attempting to wade through the crowds of pedestrians without a clear head would evidently conclude in misfortune, such as when a rough jab to the ribs sent her stumbling down unto her knees. 

Other than a simple scrape of the flesh and the pair of earphones clattering upon the pavement, she would have immediately rise to her feet, continuing her journey towards the depths of the city. 

Until a peculiar crunching noise burrowed in her ears.

"Ah?!"

Peering downwards, she uttered a noise at the pathetic sight of crumbled pieces of plastic; the poor remains of her earphones that had been subjected to one's carless steps.

Which to choose? There were many battles she participated that concluded with a victorious result on her part. Reflecting through faint memories, crimson eyes immediately sparkled upon a certain event. However she opted to refrain from revealing a certain detail, as it would open a wound best left alone.

"I guess it would be my first battle against a Shadow. I had no idea about any of that stuff, or that I could even summon a persona. And to be honest, holding a gun against my head terrified me. It was probably a bad idea to not check whether or not it was real but…

In any case, Orpheus came to me and helped save Yukari-san from the Shadow. It’s not the most spectacular battle I ever faced, but it did change my life.”
