do you ever start thinking abt gallavich super hard and its suddenly overwhelming. like yes logically i know they have the greatest love story of all time but then i put myself into the shoes of 15 year old ian gallagher staring into the blue eyes of the cool slightly older neighbourhood thug and hes all mysterious and captivating and i get lightheaded

A big thank you to everyone up in arms about us not getting an Emmy nod, as well as all the academy members who voted for us.
Kyle Rohrbach and Colleen Kilpatrick led our Emmy campaign and I am *extremely* grateful. 🫶
The truth is, we always knew we were - and continue to be - a spectacular long shot.
The Academy demographic ≠ Dropout's demographic, and the former loves their classic game shows. (I do too! A big congratulations to the nominees.)
These game shows are on network television, which still reaches more audience more reliably than any other video medium.
Our show is tucked away behind the paywall of a niche unscripted comedy streaming platform built from the ruins of a once-popular YouTube channel.
The point of going after the nomination is that it's good PR regardless.
More people have heard of Dropout / Game Changer than ever before, which means more signups to Dropout, more budget, and more talent willing to play with us.
Awards are nice and all, but what matters to me at the end of the day is the platform and show — and as far as those metrics are concerned, we've already won.
We are, as it were, playing the long game changer. 🏆

CONTROVERSIAL OPINION ABOUT BISEXUALITY
that purple in the middle is not the right saturation, it doesn't fit with the other two colors and it drives me crazy.

smerihsblog is a scammer
Do not start a fundraiser for that account. They are not in Palestine and are taking advantage of anyone who doesn’t know they’re a scam artist. They keep changing urls when called out and already have gotten one person involved who wasn’t aware of the scam. The person has refunded the funds back to those to sent it.
The account has been under the following urls:
samirahssbs → samirahsdb → asamirahsbd → assammir (now gone)
smiirahsaabee → smiiraahsabbee (now gone)
fallingpiecesfme → fallingpiecesoffme → imfallingpieceoffmee → iamfallinpieceoffmee (now gone)
immariaanszz (gone)
imjoaaanofficialw (deactivated)
The account is stealing images off real people and passing it off as theirs.

Unpopularity headcanon about Ian?
Hey anon!! oh oh I know which one I wanna say, I don't know if anyone would agree with me though
Ian wasn't excited about the wedding until the very last minute. Like until the moment they got dressed up in his old childhood bedroom? That's when it clicked for him. He is excited about spending the rest of his life with Mickey, just not about the wedding. I know, it kinda breaks my heart too... but hear me out. EVIDENCE TIME
Ian is baffled Mickey even wants a "wedding-wedding" and not just go to the courthouse again (Jesus Ian can you blame him???)
Ian is as uninvolved as it gets in the planning, the thing he does do are assignments Mickey gave him, and you can see he couldn't care less but he's doing it to make Mickey happy
The only opinion we hear him offer is about the flowers "yeah... I like ah the blue ones..." (which is why the fandom had to take it in both hands and run before the writers ruin that too) But even then, he starts with "We really need flowers?"
Mickey got the "savings" to pay for the wedding. And Ian 'doesn't wanna know how'. It's almost like he understands that Mickey needs this big wedding but also distancing himself from it.
I would like to exclude the ring forgetfulness because we say him play with the ring absentmindedly, like he is still getting used to it. He's not a jewelry guy, it's okay. Also I wrote a whole post about him getting a tattoo on his ring finger to make it all better
After Terry burns down the Bamboo Lotus Ian, after tackling Mickey, is looking sadly at the smoke coming from the venue. I think that's the point he realizes how much he did want the wedding with Mickey (and not just the marriage)
But then comes the "We should just elope. Go to the courthouse. It's what we should have done in the first place." but it sounds bitter. Like it's not what he wants now.
When talking to his brothers he seems very causal about the whole thing, but when he helps Mickey with the bowtie I swear you can feel how much he wants the wedding.
Redemption: He got the gay Jesus squad to protect them, he choose "At last" for the ceremony (probably with Mickey) and the look on his face when Mickey walked down the aisle and the tears in his eyes while saying the vows.
I think we all kinda know where it's coming from, Frank and Monica and their weddings and probably some internalized homophobia, but I think the biggest factor was that from a very young age Ian convinced himself he didn't want this because he never thought he could get it.

a random gallavich theory (scribble)
i've been fixated with names for quite a while now and while i was in the shower earlier, i thought of a possible reason why during the exchange of vows (s10e12: Gallavich!), mickey stated his full name (mikhailo) and ian chose to just say mickey.
the way mickey was written is that he's always depicted as that antisocial human being filled with rage and expletives. even during the wedding planning, mickey was never shown to be gentle, with the sole exception being season 5 during ian's first psychotic break (though it will be a point of rage during the first episode in hall of shame.) mickey was never shown to be soft well until after he was married to ian (as seen in s11e12 where he openly expressed to ian how he's scared to be a father to a child.) he was always boiled down to being a milkovich, falling not far from the tree that was terry. the wedding was the first time he became his own, and he became vulnerable to openly state his full name, mikhailo. it was his form of letting his guard down.
and ian, when he chose to call mickey with his lived name instead of his full name, mikhailo, he chose to stick to how he knows mickey: chaotic, full of rage, but definitely the man he fell in love with. linking back to the second proposal when byron was talking shit about mickey, which led ian to be physically violent in defense of the man that he loves, ian chose to mention mickey's name because he embraced that chaos that he fell in love with.
i believe that with the names they chose to say during their exchange of vows, they chose to reveal themselves to each other that no matter what, through thick or thin, they choose each other. they love each other.
(or i could be completely wrong. it's still a nice thing to think about, either way)

the problem with reading and writing leading to a strong vocabulary is that you tend to know the vibe of words instead of their meanings.
if I used this word in a sentence, would it make sense? absolutely. if you asked me what it meant, could I tell you? absolutely not.
