People (totally understandably) focus a lot on Mira and Zoey comforting Rumi when her insecurities get to her, or Mira and Rumi comforting Zoey when her insecurities get to her, but I haven't seen as many people talking about Rumi and Zoey comforting Mira. I've seen a few angsty fics on the topic, but I want to see more discussion around it, so that's what this post is about!

I think Mira would have a hard time sleeping by herself. I really think her fear of abandonment can get nearly paralyzing at times. For so much of her life, she didn't have a true family, and now she has one? I think she'd be really scared of losing that. Even though she can be confrontational, part of me thinks she'd be the most scared of upsetting the other girls. If she and Rumi butt heads, will Rumi suddenly start to hate her? If that argument scares Zoey, will Zoey abandon her with Rumi? I think these sort of thoughts would really get to Mira.

However, Rumi and Zoey can always tell, because Mira gets really closed off and quiet. When it's at its worst, she can barely respond to either girl with more than a grunt. At first, they try to give Mira her space: she needs that sometimes. However, if it goes on for more than a few hours, they intervene by wrapping her in a blanket and cuddling with her, all while affirming that they love her and will never leave her side.

Idk, this is kind of a random ramble, but I seriously love all three of these characters and had to get these thoughts out!

Mira wants so badly to be the one in the relationship who is good at cooking and wows her partners with nice pretty meals but she just. Can't. If Rumi is banned from the kitchen for nearly setting it on fire Mira is a single step away from being right there with her.

Zoey, of course, takes on the cooking responsibilities, often joking that she's the only one who can cook bc she's never had rich parents pay people to make their meals. Rumi and Mira are not a fan of this bit, but do not argue bc they have no counter argument.

Mira makes up for her lack of cooking expertise by buying copious amounts of sweets and chocolates for her girls. She always has turtle shaped gummies on stand-by for Zoey. Zoey adores this very much.

No Plot Only Vibes

Mira awakens slowly, and later, if it had been her choice, she wouldn’t have awakened at all.

She was laying stomach down on a soft, warm surface. Comfortably cradled with just the right amount of pressure.

Her legs were covered in a heated blanket, keeping her usually cold feet toasty and warm. Her upper half was ensconced in a hoody, soft and supple against her skin.

As awareness returned, she felt the gentle rise and fall of the stomach her head was resting on, her arms wrapped around a warm torso. A pair of legs bracketed her on either side, keeping her from rolling.

A hand was gently scratching against her scalp, lightly, but not enough to tickle. It was just the right pressure to make her deliciously lax as the fingers moved back and forth.

Her ears didn’t seem to want to pick up sound, keeping everything calmly muffled, like the first snow of the year. The stomach below her buzzed softly as the person she lay on spoke.

Their tone was soft, she couldn’t hear any words, but the vibration had her humming back as she buried her nose against warm skin. The buzzing and gentle scratching stopped as she moved.

She’s so cute, I’m having such strong cuteness aggression.

Don’t wake her up.

I know, I know…

She feels a brief warmth pressed to her temple, and she hums again. The scratching resumes and she melts.

The buzzing returns soon after, but the person she’s lying on isn’t speaking words. It’s a soft rhythmic hum that lulls her in her half awake state.

Thoughts of moving will eventually come to her mind, forced there by an involuntary shiver, a twitch of her foot dislodging it from its warm haven that breaks the perfect rest she’d found for herself, but for now, she’ll lay here, hovering in the gentle darkness.

I am absolutely smitten with lovergirl Mira. Big tough carefree girl who is so so so pitifully in love with her girls. Non-chalant badass who feels her lip start to quiver when she thinks about her girls for even a second too long. Fake ass disinterest at all times but she somehow always has Zoey's favorite candy in her bag or knows exactly how to keep Rumi calm when she can sense her getting overwhelmed. She adores these two more than anything on earth, she cherishes every second and hangs on every word and she will never directly say it out loud. Her love is entirely based on action, on care, on providing and cherishing in the smallest and biggest ways without a single word. I love u lovergirl Mira you are everything 🫶

Ello! And Thank you! I originally intended for her extra eyes to be able to see souls and emotions of other people so in a way she will be seeing her girls better lol!
