Made a sprite set of Kage holding an umbrella for 2-Headed Boy, upcoming F2P yandere boyfriend game coming to PC on Steam and Itch! You can wishlist a copy on Steam today; see my pinned post!

He hopes to catch you in the rain and share his umbrella with you...that would probably make his whole week

I also started working on putting the Steam achievements into the game, which I realize is jumping the gun a bit since I still have a ton of work to do on the game, I just didn't want to forget certain things c:

Went back to writing dialogue for the various possible conversations on the first Kage lunch date. I took a break from that for a bit to work more on the crafting in the game (see my previous post), which also meant having to make each painting an actual item that goes into your inventory and disappears if you give it as a gift, make reactions for Kage to the paintings and set up events so he'll display certain paintings in his apartment. Some of them will also lead to reveals on his backstory.

I also started the gift giving system for rival Yurei, who you can also give paintings to (and other things). Yurei will hang paintings in the cat café, or in his apartment, depending on the painting. I also put his sprites into the intro scene finally. Phew!

Adding painting as a crafting mode for 2-Headed Boy. Level up your painting skills to unlock new paintings. LIs will accept certain paintings as gifts, or you can sell paintings to your local businesses.

I also didn't fix the text choice on the second painting to show "burn it" as the throw out option like all the other ones have, so I had to go fix that and didn't feel like redoing the video...I don't have a mic so my PC won't record the sounds apparently...? I have to manually add them in when I record these little footage pieces. It makes making the videos take a little longer and I'm tired.

Also, I'm kind of annoyed that the map display name in the top corner loads again every time you start the painting sequence. (Top left where it says "welcome home.") I'm gonna try to figure out how to make that not happen. Fixed!

Edit to add I also corrected the prompt text when you interact with the easel so now it says "an easel with a blank canvas" instead of "a blank easel." I guess I was more tired than I realized working on things late last night ;w;

Working on cooking missions for 2-Headed Boy. At the end of the video you'll see in the top right corner of the screen there's a little objective window that pops up when you acquire a new mission, showing your current objective. This will be a chain of missions to unlock a cute dialogue with Kage :>

I need to come up with a cute little cooking animation for this, we are still in rough draft phase here...

Took about a week off from working on the game for some life events, but here's some more dialogue for your first lunch date with Kage in 2-Headed Boy. There are 12 9 possible conversations for this date, all with branching dialogue, so hopefully plenty of chances for unique experiences between players/high replay value!

Edit to add that the black silhouette with the question mark in it showing up in the video won't show up when the player plays; that's simply a placeholder image since my demo video doesn't have a customized player character. When you play, that avatar will be whatever you've customized your character's head to look like.

Implemented the gift giving system for 2-Headed Boy. Give presents to your yandere to increase his attachment points; some gifts will reward more points than others, and some come with some tricky stat shifts for Kage.

I'll also be adding a gift giving system for rival Yurei as well for part 1 of the game.

Spent the last 2 days doing a bunch of writing on your first lunch date with Kage. Dialogue does vary depending on which mall food you guys order :) so what you learn about Kage might be different from another player who ordered a different lunch.

Do you have plans to release the game on itch or other platforms?

Yes, I definitely intend to release it on itch. I would like to be able to release it for Linux operating systems too, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to figure that one out or not. Would be cool if I could manage that though because then it could be played on the Steam Deck too...

And then I also have wishful thinking about making a phone version for Android, but I'm not sure if the character creator would work with that, so it might mean having to sacrifice that aspect for the Android release ...not sure yet

He looks so small and angry sitting at that table. Also I’d make him take off the hood if we’re sitting down to eat together

He has a bad case of RBF ;) and this scene is early in the game, so he's still pretty shy and relatively reserved around the player at this point, that's why he hides a little under the hood
