i mean, let’s not forget, it was him who a) kicked off the bay of pigs. a+ plus my guy. and he started sending “military advisors” to vietnam. he was slow with Race Stuff(tm). but don’t quote me on that. i’m not as familiar with jfk’s domestic policies as i am with his foreign stuff.

See, I’m allllll the way on the other end of the spectrum--that Nation States are just as much their human personalities as they are their ~Nationhood~. That they are one of the Whole as much as they are the Whole. That Erszebet Hedervary, for example, is as much a Person as the Nation State of Hungary.

Even though their spirits are of the Nation, it still occupies a human vessel. And the human vessel is something very fragile, especially against the winds of time. To truly be human means to experience certain things like hunger, injury, or the simple frustrations that arise from not getting what you want all the time.

On that note, the Big Ideas Theme(tm) of my fic is exploring that dynamic--between duty and responsibility versus individual wants and needs. That’s the whole Big Ideas Theme(tm) of my fic.

(( –Me on personifications I like to explore how the personifications aren’t human. Yes, they look like them, act like them, speak like them, feel what they feel, but /still/ aren’t human. They’re many but not one individually. They can take on pain and still walk it off. Burn them, hang them, cut them up as you wish and they will still come back. Hurt? Yes. Dead? Far from it. They’re immortal; frozen in time but not at the same time. They watch their people grow old, watch others move on, and they remain the same. They grow with their culture and traditions; they grow with changes but still look the same. A couple of scratches on the record but still functional. It’s a complex concept but I really like to play around with it. ))
