I started reading dune recently partially due to your posts about it and am concerned to discover that it compels me.

Dune is viscerally compelling without being traditionally good. It insists on its own sprawling importance but is starkly detached from emotion in a way that feels almost mythological in tone. Every single point of view blurs into each other until it feels like they’re actors in a play on their thousandth run of this thing. All the thoughts just read like asides to the audience. The narrative literally says you, look: what is about to happen is so important that it is gradually grinding the humanity of every character involved to dust under its weight. Captivating.

If I tell you this is a horror dance number it still won't prepare you. That last move was so terrifying even the judge was like "Let go! Let go!" If you told me they're actually possessed I'd believe you.

One of the most perfectly choreographed and executed dances I have ever seen and comes closest to Shobana's original performance in Manichitrathazhu. Incredible!
