Setting up Cygwin

Cygwin Packages

Posting the list of Cygwin packages for prosterity, as I have found myself having to (re)-install my development setup on a new machines quite a lot lately.

1) procps-ng - top, ps, kill commands

2) wget

3) openssh

4) git

5) curl

6) vim

7) ncurses, albeit it now seems to be explicitly included as part of the core installation these days

8) bash-completion

Cygwin Home

Edit the /etc/nsswitch.conf, set db_home
