MHA Boys w/ a Quiet Reader, Part 1
Tumblr media
Kiri isn't a very quiet person, as most people who've met him know. He's loud, bright, and affectionate
Your polar opposite.
But he finds you absolutely stunning.
And when you look at him, that soft smile on your face, not saying much, he swears his heart stops every time.
When the two of you begin dating, he figures out that though you're quiet, you're still just as affectionate as he is.
Only, in a different way.
Though you didn't use to go to the gym much, you started going with Kiri, just to spend time with him.
When he's telling you about his favorite Hero, you're there, entirely present, listening as he rambles with that same soft smile on your face.
You're always there for him. You know you aren't the most affectionate person, so you make sure that you're always at his side.
While he takes great pleasure in talking with you, and squishing you into tight hugs, he's come to treasure the way you always go out of your way to spend quality time with him.
You're quiet, but your presence is impossible to miss.
Tumblr media
Another boy that is not a quiet person.
At all.
But hey, opposites attract, right?
At least in this situation they do.
He was a little bit of an airhead at times, but he was thoughtful, he was funny, and he was an optimist.
When you were struggling to make friends in 1A, he had been your first friend with his relentless socializing.
Normally, you got drained when around people like him who seemed to have an endless social battery, but he made it easy.
Now, to him, you were absolute heaven.
A pretty girl who laughed at his jokes, helped him with his homework, and never made fun of his intelligence?
Yeah, it didn't take him long to fall head over heels.
Because of his naturally flirtatious nature and your tendency to assume he's joking, you missed countless of his confessions just because they went over your head.
"You look amazing, like always. Wanna go out some time, sunshine?"
"You're too good for this world, (l/n)-chan. This is why I've fallen in love with you."
Even with all that, you simply would pat his head and smile at him, saying, "Thank you, I enjoy your company too."
Though he was being entirely straightforward, you somehow managed to be even more.
You just walked up to him during homeroom and told him, "I like you romantically as well as platonically. Do you think we could date?"
He almost passed out at that, but not before accepting of course.

memories [b.katsuki x reader songfic]
Tumblr media
Important Note: this is very heavily inspired by the song "Memories" by Conan Gray. lines of the song are embedded in the story.
It's been a couple months. Months without him. And, oh, maybe you had finally gotten over it.
It was just about enough time to make it so that just the mere thought of him was no longer enough to leave you gutted. He was gone. Hopefully for good. And you were finally okay with it. It had been enough time for you to no longer have to wince every time his name was brought up.
For you to stop crying every time you looked at all the pictures.
In fact, now you could kinda smile at them, for the first time in a while.
It's late, you're sitting on the couch, a faint smile on your face at the picture of the two of you, his messy ash blonde hair covering half your face as you tried to push him away from you. His mom had managed to catch the look on his face just before you sent him flying, the gleeful smile on your face making a small chuckle leave your lips.
A knock at the door grabs your attention.
The bell's ringing and it's pouring and so you hurry to the door, not wanting to leave whatever poor soul stuck in the rain.
You opened the door, freezing as his crimson eyes greet you at the entrance.
"I just wanna talk," he said gruffly, as if he hadn't just undone months of work to get over him.
And though you know you shouldn't, you let him in. He's shivering and his usual spiky blond hair is flat like a wet dog, left outside by its owners.
But please don't ruin this for me Please don't make it harder than it already is I'm trying to get over this
He doesn't seem to understand why you can't look at him. Why you can't meet his gaze when he speaks. He gets closer, words about how he's sorry, how he never should've let you go, falling from his lips. And you can't look at him.
But Bakugou had never been one to be ignored, so he gripped your chin with the tenderness he had only ever expressed in private, and he made you look at him.
How could he not see that you wished that he would stay in your memories? That him showing up today just ruined things.
All you wanted was to put him in the past.
But he won't let you do that.
He's drunk and rambling and pleading, looking as if ready to curl into the fetal position when you don't respond to him. He looks pathetic.
Playing the victim had never suited him.
So self-absorbed, he doesn't bother to listen when you say, "I wish that you would stay in my memories."
Why would he?
What did he care for the wishes of others?
How were you supposed to find an end to something that just kept beginning, over and over again, the ending never changing?
How could he not see that it would always turn out the same?
"There's no good reason in make believing that we could ever exist again," you said, and finally your words seemed to land.
"What do you mean? Didn't you hear me? I love you," he said it as if nothing else mattered. But to him, nothing else did. He wanted something and he had never taken well to being refused.
"I don't care," you managed, voice anguished. It was so obviously a lie, but you couldn't care. Not with him. "I can't be your friend, I can't be your lover. Don't you get it? And you can't be the reason for holding me back from falling in love again. With somebody else."
"Somebody else?" He had never sounded so small, and you had to remind yourself that you couldn't give yourself to him so easily everytime he fell apart. You had to be enough for yourself.
"I can't be around you, Bakugou," you stated, looking away. "I- things just can't be the same."
"At least have the decency to look me in the eyes when you say that."
Those words, coming from him of all people, pissed you off.
"Like you had the decency to tell me that you'd slept with someone else?" you retorted, words raw. "That decency?"
"I told you, it meant nothing." Incredible. He almost sounded sincere.
"Just- just leave." You looked away. "And grab your books and your coat and that one good cologne that you bought when we were fighting, 'cause it's still on my clothes, everything that I own, and it makes me feel like dying." Pressing your balled-up fists to your eyes, you sobbed. "I was barely just surviving."
You stood there, like that, hearing as he did as you said, the bold Bakugou Katsuki, meekly following your orders for the first time since you had met him.
He left you, standing in the middle of your living room, tear streaks down your face the only evidence he'd ever been there.
Maybe he finally understood how much he'd destroyed you.
I wish that you would stay in my memories....
