hey what’s the weirdest or funniest strategy you’ve seen someone use to beat your team? And did it work?

Haha, oh man let me think. There are some Wild strategies people come up with on the circuit.

Ok, so there was this one guy. 3 badge fight. I figure, ok, this guy's cut his teeth a little by now. He knows his stuff.

First pokemon out is a Missingno. And I figure, ok, yeah he's probably kept his starter, that tracks. I lead with Panic, my .4, decently bulky pokemon. Anyway, the kid's got a quick claw on his Bird so it moves first, and what does it do?

Power Trick. Egg Move. Ok sure, so now he's got a bulky Missingno with no attack. Panic's first move bounces off but its no big deal.

And then the thing uses Roost. And I realize immediately I'm up against a Stall Missingno.

I'm thinking there's no way I'm just gonna sit here and let the kid wall, so I send out Menace to get a swords dance off.

And he comes out with Power Split. Amazing. The stall Missingno Stole My Setup! Next move he comes out with is Toxic and that's how I know it's over. Proceeds to stall out my whole team with a pokemon that's got base 0 defense.

Gotta say, kid was impressive. AND it made me laugh!

*Video is being taken from the center of PT town. There are bright pink streamers and string lights that have been hung out all over town. Some paper lanterns decorated with Mew faces have been set out across town. In the background, young pokemon trainers and a few kids younger than training age are rushing through the town, appearing to give chase. There is a great deal of laughing and shouting, punctuated by bit crunched sound effects in the background as the kids give chase.

The energy is palpable. It seems like having to forego celebrating a year prior meant the enthusiasm was overflowing. You could feel the air buzzing.

Simon- So today in PT town is our annual Mew Day celebration. Since it's likely not many regions are versed in what Mew Day is about, I figured I would give a brief rundown of the holiday.

*A few figures can be seen running around in the background. It seems even some scientists from the lab have joined into the chase. One of them is holding a blue Mew shaped charm over his head.

Simon- Mew Day is, as the name suggests, a celebration held in recognition of the mythical pokemon, Mew, a symbol of good luck in this region and widely believed to be the progenitor of all pokemon. Unlike many regions that consider Arceus the creator deity, in Glitch City it is widely believed that Mew's DNA was responsible for the formation of Arceus's egg, along with all other pokemon.

*There are a few shouts from behind Simon. �aver can be seen pointing at someone off screen, and he along with several other members of the Map Squad (all with identical sprites) take off after where he'd pointed.

Simon- Behind me you can see people from PT town taking part in a game of Catch the Mew. Boxes are given to people across PT town, and while most are empty, one contains a Mew charm and one contains a shiny Mew charm. At any time someone can ask you for your box, and no matter what you have to hand it over. It can lead to a really riveting chase and.... What in the world is happening-.. !!!

* There is a sound that resembles microphone feedback as several members of the Map Crew can be seen tackling a Lab Worker behind him. �aver's voice crackles as he shouts.

�aver- Fourooohh!!

* The Scientist he'd tackled swiftly starts to shimmer, form shifting back to the form of the g city Gym Leader, Fouroh! He is holding the shiny Mew charm and looking a little sheepish upon being caught.

Simon- Er... as you can see there is a stiff competition, here. And a lot of pranking. Anyway games aren't the only things happening today. Many people from Glitch City will be gathering at Mew Bridge to perform Trainer Fly, a ritual and anomaly that I've documented rather extensively. While it's discouraged to take part, many will still try their luck.

* Simon looks back over his shoulder. �aver has the shiny Mew Charm again and is currently handing it over to a young trainer who immediately takes off running.

Simon- Anyway, I'm off to enjoy the rest of the festivities. Hope you learned something!!
