Street-Level or Above Street-Level: An Event Space-Entrance Analysis

Whether you are planning your own social event (wedding, anniversary, your child's bar/bat mitzvah) or a corporate function (conference, product launch, or fundraiser), how do you decide on what type of venue? One big question, especially in New York City, is if the event space entrance is street-level or on an elevated floor.  This is what we have found: Perks of Street-Level:

Easy access for guests

Easy load-in for clients and vendors,  as trucks can pull up right in front of venue to load in

Great visibility for events and guests, which is versatile for eye-catching entrance decor (for a red carpet, stanchions, gobos, and more)

Perks of Above Street-Level:

A great view can help add to the decor and feel of the event - perfect for cityscape and skyline backgrounds in photographs

Away from the city din- and feeling transported to a new locale

Colorful Mitzvah at 404 NYC

One of the great parts of our Midtown West NYC venue (if we do say so ourselves ; ) is the versatility. Our blank white walls, floors, and ceiling are the perfect canvas upon which you may create your vision. This past weekend, our event space was the location for a fun and colorful Mitzvah – with all of our 3 levels decked out with bright decals and projected graphics – along with our 120′ wide LED wall providing a cool glow throughout the entire event.  Plus – with Mint Catering serving up delicious hors d’oeuvres, buffet dinners, and desserts – it was a fun and celebratory evening!

Part of the fun of being in New York City is the element of surprise; who knows what fun experiences may be just around the corner? As you’re walking down the street, you may catch a glimpse of the goings on inside a window, and your curiosity may be piqued. Your imagination may create an exciting story to accompany the visuals you have just come across. It’s like a Mad Libs for New York City life!

If you were to have been walking by our venue on Tenth Avenue in Midtown West on a recent Saturday evening, this scene may have caught your eye, with the colored lights, the event staff setting up, and the wall of award-winning records boldly on display. Perhaps this is the beginning of any awards ceremony, or a corporate product launch – or even a fabulous birthday or Bar or Bat Mitzvah in the making? Sometimes we never know the answer as we walk by a window. But that’s the fun of being in New York City…

It’s Prime Time for Celebratory Seasonal Soirées!

The holiday season is officially here! Our Midtown West venue is the prime location for many a seasonal soiree, ranging from corporate to social. With our 20′ foot wide LED wall providing a cool glow throughout our 3 levels, the vibe is definitely celebratory. Cheers to an exciting event season ahead!

Smart CEO Corporate Culture Awards Event at 404 NYC

It was an exciting event here at our Midtown West venue last night with the Smart CEO Corporate Culture Awards! Presenters awarded recipients on a stage on our ground level, while a reception and event games like air hockey (!) filled our other 2 levels. Projected graphics on our walls, led screens, and step-and-repeat backdrops filled the room to really set the celebratory tone. Congrats to all the awardees!

Fun and Business at NYC Corporate Cocktail Reception

Sometimes an event calls for mixing a little fun with business. Our most recent corporate cocktail reception here at our New York City venue did just that, with an informative presentation in the beginning, and festivities later in the evening with a dj, dancing, and catered passed hors d’oeuvres (deliciously prepared by Mint Catering)!
