Theresa Treadwell was a producer and writer who worked at Obsidian Entertainment on Fallout: New Vegas. When asked about her work on the game, she spoke about making a "conscious effort" regarding LGBT content and her perspective as a lesbian in relation to the project. She stated that Fallout: New Vegas is "one of best games out there" in the treatment of homosexuality, adding that it was an intentional decision.

We certainly didn’t intend for New Vegas to change anyone’s outlook on life, but if it did so for the better, then we’re happy for them – for you. Although I’ve been out for a very long time, I made a conscious effort to be out with relation to this project, as I wanted to be visible as a lesbian in the game industry. New Vegas itself is, I think, one of (if not the) best games out there in how we treat homosexuality – and all of that is very intentional. If my work on FNV, if my being out has helped even one gay person, then I have succeeded.

I'm still a little hung up on that trading card because it doesn't look like Barriss. I love it, I think it's cooler, but it's off.

The colors are different, especially the helmet, and that can't be explained by lighting given how uniform the TCW outfit is. The waist cape is new. Minor details like the belt and arms are close, but not the same. Barriss is not that muscular… or stacked. Is this a police drawing based on how Ahsoka described her assailant?

Ahsoka: Ventress picked out a good combination of black and dark red to match the light from her sabers. The new outfit really shows off her arms. Padmé: Why are you making her sound hot? Ahsoka: I. DON’T. KNOW.

Unrelated to the ask game, what is Ahsoka and Barriss' favorite food?

I think their standards have both been too horribly warped to really have a specific favorite.

Ahsoka is so pragmatic she'll eat anything in front of her assuming it's digestible for Togruta. She spent her teen years acclimating to MREs.

Barriss also spent years eating military rations and prison food. She just wants anything fresh. Anything indicative of a functional ecosystem, or farmland that hasn't burned to the ground. She leans vegetarian but has been in too many desperate survival situations to be strict about it. That preference doesn't stop her from trying to cook proper meals for her favorite obligate carnivore, though that's as much out of love as it is to make Ahsoka stop eyeing the ysalamiri.

27. What is a question that you never get asked about your fics that you really want to answer?

I'm surprised how little people ask anything about Barriss's lightsaber, especially since the damn thing is sentient and reflective of her unfiltered emotions. It's pieced together out of discarded, antiquated components because Barriss had nothing else to work with. It's special, not because it's superior, but because there is something uniquely wrong with it, and no one except Barriss would want it. It refuses to be used against her. It will burn anyone who tries wielding it without permission. There’s no biometrics or other technology involved, the saber knows when an enemy picks it up and it gets angry. It starts out chaotic and unreliable, then stabilizes, then becomes able to spread that uncertainty through other weapons. After all her growth, her Jedi crystal gets reincorporated back into it. It's got Light/Fire Juxtaposition with Ahsoka's white lightsabers.

On a lighter note, there's this bit from Returning Conquerors:

The saber in Chapter 3: *purring in Ahsoka's hand* I'll be your tooka. I'll be anything you want. Do you need a hound? I can bark.
