He doesn't terribly mind, if he's honest, closing his one visible eye as he lets her squish away unchallenged. Her hands are warm, delicate-- but years of war have taken away the soft suppleness of skin unmarred by hardship. He finds he doesn't mind that either -- hers are the hands of a warrior rarely matched on the battlefield. The living incarnation of a Valkyrie that soared through the sky as though all its vast expanse belonged to her alone.

What comes out of his mouth though is anything but what flits through his thoughts.

[ENG SUM-UP] [SPOILERS] HOSHINO KATSURA'S STREAM ABOUT CHAPTER 253.5 (29/01/2025)

🔴🔴🔴🔴Beware of spoilers🔴🔴🔴

So, today, the bonus chapter came out. Hoshino sensei did a livestream at the moment the chapter came out. She'll be doing another more complete livestream on Sunday morning, which I'll be livetweeting in English on my Twitter account, and then summing up here as well.

She didn't say many things, as the real thing is coming on Sunday, but here are a few facts about the new chapter.

Again, beware of spoilers.

•Why is it a bonus chapter ? In volume 3, when Allen saw Lavi for the first time, Hoshino sensei tried to show there was something weird, that Allen was having a weird feeling about Lavi. But actually, Lavi also had that feeling. That's not essential for the story tho, but since she could draw a bonus chapter, that's what she wanted to show. So, the whole point of the chapter is to show that Lavi was also shaken by his meeting with Allen, because he remembered Past Lavi through Allen.

• When Lavi meets Allen for the first time, he remembers the light and the silhouette he saw when he was on the verge of dying eleven years ago. By the way, in the ark, when Lavi says Allen looks so bright, like a light about to disappear, he also thought about Past Lavi and the hallucination he had

•The bullet episode was actually introduced in the first fanbook, and Hoshino sensei knew she would draw it at some point, but she didn't think she would do it THAT soon (in a recent stream, before the chapter, she said the bullet episode would come in a very loooong time).

•At first, Bookman was not supposed to wear a hat, but she had it because she said she knew some fans out there would theorize that Lavi got shot because Bookman's hair was standing out (you know, the small ponytail he has). She wanted to end those theories right away.

•There is a reason why Lavi got shot, it's not just a random bullet.
