On days where you need your faith in the fandom restored, there's always someone to deliver. For me, this person was @archerists, who hand-bound this copy of the (Mis)Fortune and Glory series - The Search for the Sun Disc, Mirror of Vengeance, and Let Icons Be Bygones.

The care she put into every inch of this is extraordinary - the stunning cover, the title page with the Indiana Jones-esque font, the gold disc designs, the whip section separators... It's simply perfection from cover to cover!!

I FINALLY GOT THE NICE PAPER IN! After a week of struggling with my printer, I managed to make it WORK.

I’m super happy with the way it turned out! The spine art is by @avendell and I made the end papers by hand!

Future learning notes:

- One day, I will stop getting glue everywhere

- Extend the black / bleed because you can see where the art ends inside the book

- is there a finer gold pen than .7mm?? TO INVESTIGATE

My sister said she would read Manacled by @senlinyu if I made it in paperback for her. She has not read the Harry Potter books, but she’s watched the movies once. She has only read one other fanfic that I forced upon her and she enjoyed it, but wasn’t sold. So, I impulsively decided to try these as a paperback and I am very happy with how it turned out.

I styled the design after the Barnes and Noble Classics and used artwork by @flyora. The covers are printed on 32lb, colour laser. Typeset is by me.

The quotes on the back are from friends who I asked to send me a blurb on each of the 3 parts to Manacled. They came through beautifully.
