Sirius and James are separated in potions for talking too much and Barty and Evan are too for similar reasons, so they get paired with each other.

The profesor didn't expect it to backlash so much that Sirius and Barty become actual threats to the class with the potion they're making (they're doing it on purpose because it's fun) and Evan and James gossip about everyone and joke around actually getting along super well.

In the end they return to their original setup, but they had a great time.

I love the headcanon that Bella and Sirius were similiar, like they were these tall, slender creatures with eyes the color of a stormy sky and long dark hair who would have preferred to die rather than lose value in the eyes of those they loved. They were both charismatic and impulsive and desperate to find something to live for, they were full of love and rage and they were so similiar in their way to show it

i think james has to fall at least once a year. like, he's very athletic and has great reflexes, there's no reason for him to trip and fall.

but one out of the 365 days is his unlucky day, where his body just doesn't connect properly —or he's just distracted and can't see the very clear obstacles on his way— and he's left with bleeding knees and some bruises.

it was fun when he was a kid, because kids get hurt playing all the time. but being 22 and suddenly you don't know how to walk and trip over air on the way to your new part-time job?

it's haunting.

and it's exactly how he meets regulus, who is just trying to get some pastries and go home, but then somebody just fell right next to him, groaning "fucking hell, not again" and jesus fuck that's a very hot man and oh my god is that blood.

so regulus, who isn't a first aider or anything of the sorts, but knows how to clean and take care of all sorts of injuries, just decides to be nice and help.

james immediately uses the "i just fell for you" line on him, regulus calls him an idiot, james overshares about this being a yearly occurrence, regulus thinks that's ridiculous, james uses that as an excuse for them to become friends (or more) so he could see it with his very own eyes, regulus calls him ridiculous. the conversation is complete banter while regulus cleans the wounds.

they both leave with red cheeks and each others phone numbers.

and after some years, regulus is always carrying some first aid kit in his bag, because his boyfriend was right and once a year he falls over nothing, like an idiot. and he has to be there, to laugh, make fun of him, and then patch him up nicely.

i want to watch james and regulus gossip in the courtyard, and realize that they have a lot in common.

The fact that someone like JK Rowling created a character like Harry Potter completely baffles me

Harry Potter who was outraged when the magical community wouldn't accept a werewolf at Hogwarts

Harry Potter who regularly had tea with the half giant groundskeeper

Harry Potter who at 12 years old freed a house elf from his abusive master and then five years later insisted on giving that same house elf a proper burial

Harry has his flaws, but what always stood out to me about him was how tolerant and accepting he was. There were plenty of people he didn't like, but that was always because of who they were as a person. It's even made a point in the series that he maintained relationships with groups who were not usually friendly with wizards (probably because of past mistreatment) like ghosts and centaurs. So, how such a bigoted and close-minded person created him is beyond me.
