Dec. 13, 2024 "Our Sweet Goodbye" The conclusion of a hectic day can occasionally seem refreshing. This time, though, it was a range of feelings rather than just relief. This conclusion marked the end of something unique, not merely the conclusion of a chapter. I will always cherish all of those Friday nights that were full of education, unanticipated friendships, and minor triumphs. Despite being our last day, it didn't feel like a farewell. We continued as usual, enthusiastically launching into the quiz. The room was filled with the excitement of correctly answering the questions and the pressure to turn in the work on time. The creation of the line graph was another highlight. I may have put too much effort into it because I hadn't done one in a long time. However, it felt good to see the finished product—a miniature work of art in and of itself. Finally, as the semester came to an end, my team and I had our papers checked. It was as if there was sunshine at the end of the cave. The nights of no sleep are about to pay off, and we're almost there. Thus, cheers to the memories, the teachings, and the relationships we have formed. For now, good bye. Signing off, this is Han, till we meet again.

Dec. 06, 2024 "Learning about the Lesson 8: Data Mining" The focus of CPE312 last night was data mining. I understood that I needed to be prepared for the upcoming quiz. I focused on the most crucial ideas from our most recent classes and spent hours the day before going over them again. For speedy memorizing, I even created flashcards and worked on problem-solving techniques. When the quiz is started I was a little anxious at the start of the quiz, but I told myself that I had done my research. Despite the difficulty of the first few questions, I was able to remember what I had learned. I took my time, thoroughly read each question, and then responded to the ones I felt comfortable answering. After that we also have a consultation about the activity that Sir Carl give, so that we will know what part need to revise. I got stopped on a few questions, but I didn't let it put too much strain on me. I've come to believe that mistakes are normal and that you should just keep trying. All things considered, it was a night filled with learning and work, and I'm pleased with the amount of planning I did.

Nov. 29, 2024 "WELLNESS WEEK" Wellness Week was intended to be a time for rest, rejuvenation, and a reprieve from the typical stress of school. But it wasn't at all peaceful to me. Rather than relaxing, I had a busy day balancing our SDE activity with assignments for a minor subject. That day, I completed all of my assignments and some activities related to my minor courses. I then moved on to our major project, Software Design and Engineering, and we held a group meeting to discuss updates, resolve issues, and make plans for the future. It's always satisfying to work with my teammates, and the progress we've accomplished together has made all the effort worthwhile.

Nov. 22, 2024 "Learning about the Application Programming and Interfaces" I saw a video recording of our instructor discussing Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) online today. It was an excellent method of learning about APIs and their significance in tying disparate systems together. By facilitating software communication and data sharing, APIs serve as a bridge that improves the functionality and efficiency of our websites and apps. The first part of the video covered the fundamentals of APIs and their importance. Our instructor described how APIs are utilized in commonplace applications such as payment gateways, online shopping platforms, and weather apps. These illustrations demonstrated how APIs enable programs to collaborate, simplifying chores. Although I was unable to snap any screenshots while viewing the video, the information was clear and simple to understand. It was a fantastic learning opportunity, and I can't wait to apply what I learned to other projects in the future. One of the things that makes technology so smooth and powerful is undoubtedly APIs!

Nov. 15, 2024
During this class Sir Carl offered us a pre-test on Lesson 6, which he had posted at the previous meeting, following his review of the attendance during this lab session. To determine if we have completed the advance reading, the pre-test consisted of just ten questions. Following the pre-test, Sir Carl had another in-person discussion on Lesson 6. He took the time to explain the lesson in person even though it had already been uploaded, and for that we were quite grateful. We were better able to comprehend the lesson as a result. We gained a lot of knowledge from the conversation. Sir Carl then assigned us a team-building exercise. He used the numbers 1-4 to divide us into groups. Our group exchanged ideas and collaborated to find answers to the problems. The activity's submission deadline was moved to Saturday since Sir Carl also stated that he had commitments with his buddies. This pleased us, and we were much more pleased when he dismissed us early.

Nov. 8, 2024
We conducted a lab session on software design engineering on Nov. 8. Being the first meeting for the last term, I assumed Sir Carl would be present, but he wasn't. But instead, he posted Activity 3, which is a chunk of our writing, and a lesson for us to read beforehand. We were instructed by Sir Carl to read the lesson and complete the task during the lab period.
We talked in our SDE group about who would be responsible for the task. We carried on working on Activity 2 concurrently so that we could speak with Sir Carl about both tasks at the following meeting. As part of Activity 2, we also administered a survey. Working on the tasks and enhancing our GUI to make it completely functioning has been our main emphasis this week.

OUR 6TH DAY IN F2F CLASS IN SDE
In our SDE course, this is our 6th dya meeting in f2f. As you can see from the first image, it was taken during the lesson three conversation. We go over everything with our "pretty instructor" Additionally, we had a group exercise where we had to figure out what was wrong or, to put it another way. We had to write down the correct response or draw the right figure, and we had to create a GFORM for the SUS form so that we could calculate the survey's total if the final response was higher than the passing. It was stressful to solve SUS but I am willing to learn after all.

“First Quiz in CPE312”
09-13-2024
Last meeting. we have a part 2 Quiz 1, which is so quite challenging part with inquiries testing a range of the ideas we have been studying. It was challenging, but it was also a thought-provoking and interesting experience. The quiz was challenging and engaging at the same time because it forced me to use my critical thinking skills and apply what I knew. After that, I just got some dinner to treat myself for surviving our Quiz1.

“A Single Moment of Development”
09-06-24
Our yesterday class was full of knowledge to explore more and also we are all enjoy for the activity that Sir Carl give us. Our lesson 2 was talk about on software design. It was a great opportunity to learn about the various design concepts that influence software development and how software is organized. The talk was quite educational, and I took away a lot about how crucial it is to consider design before diving into coding.
After that Sir Carl give us the hands-on activity. For a given topic, each group, including ours, was tasked with developing pseudocode and designing a basic GUI (Graphical User Interface). We had a better grasp of how to design and construct an interface before coding after overcoming the initial challenge.
It was a productive day in class, we learn a lot, we also enjoy and definitely know each other because of this kind of activity. Big thanks to our Engr. Carl.

"Analyzing Working together in Project Management"
08-30-24
Sir Carl took the time to go over the content in class at our second laboratory session, despite the fact that he had already sent along a video clip covering Lesson 1 our Sir Carl still give an effort to discuss and to make us understand deeply the lesson 1. Last Friday, we had a fun collaborative exercise as our project management lesson. We examined how various project kinds call for particular techniques and collaborative tactics. We were given an assignment to finish and deliver within 30 minutes of the discussion. In our group we discussed a range of project types from technological advancements to neighborhood gatherings. There was a great deal of discussion because each variety has different wants and difficulties. This activity was created to test our ability to think critically and to determine how effectively we could solve difficulties quickly. We worked as a team, which made the activity enjoyable, and our cooperation helped the presentation go well.
Sir Carl and our staff discussed Activity 1 after class to see what changes needed to be made. We discovered after the consultation that there were a few little changes that needed to be made. We intend to take care of these as soon as feasible in order to complete the paperwork through USTEP. Last Friday the most highlighted exercise because it helps us unite as a class and collaborate effectively with others. Observing the pragmatic aspect of project management in action was an excellent experience!

“The Lecture Video of a Topic 1: The Introduction of Software Engineering”
08-30-24
Sir Carl gave us a thorough lesson last week that was a crucial introduction to the field of software engineering. The curriculum provided a comprehensive definition of software engineering, outlining not only its technical components but also its importance as a subject of study. It explored the essential skills needed to be successful as a software engineer and provided a clear outline of the areas we should concentrate on as we moved through the course.
Despite of the holiday our team decide to have a virtual meeting via Google Meet to discuss the possible IDE that we use for coding and also the programming language that we can use to build for our website. After that we were all on the same page after the extremely fruitful meeting, which greatly facilitated our collaboration on Activity 1. We collaborated to find the answers to the activity's questions, exchanged ideas, and cleared up any confusion. Our thoughts seemed to mesh quite well, which was exciting, and we're almost done with the first task. Throughout our conversations, my team and I was engaged and everyone offered suggestions and analysis to help us come to the best decisions possible for our website project.
