When you thought that "The Great Toro Rosso Driver Rotation of 2017" could never be matched but then along comes Alpine in 2025.

In (briefish) summary: Sainz and Kvyat drove for the bulk of the season for Toro Rosso, then Kvyat got dropped for Gasly, Sainz replaced Jolyon Palmer at Renault, but Gasly had to miss COTA as it clashed with the last round of the Super Formula season (where he'd been competing prior to F1) so Kvyat got parachuted in for one race to replace him while Brendon Harley made his F1 debut, then Gasly came back and Kvyat got booted from Toro Rosso and the RBR driver programme for good, and Gasly and Hartley finished the season for Toro Rosso

sebastian vettel retirement era is so funny bc the man is literally nowhere to be seen (presumably in the swiss mountains with his family in a state of increasing baldness) but then once every eight months he suddenly spawns at a random circuit to offer support to a good cause, some sage yoda like wisdom and against all odds, with hairs on his head. and then he fucks off again

Sebastian Vettel rambling about missing Kimi Räikkönen despite not being asked if he misses him | 2019
How much different has it been for you to prepare for the season without being with your old teammate?
SV: Yeah, I miss him. I think we all miss him, we're still, you know, joking, you know, what would Kimi say and so on so uh... Obviously not a lot. Bwoah.
No, obviously it's different, uhm, yeah. But, you know, Charles is a good guy so I think the team, everyone is happy and we'll see how things go but uh... Nevertheless I think, you know, Kimi has been a big, big part of Ferrari's history so we will always miss him. But he's still around so, even if I miss him I can still, you know, he's still there so uh... yeah.
In the end, I mean, you do your thing when you, you know, step in the car, anyways I'm driving by myself, so... I was not in his car and he was not in my car so it's not too different but uh... yeah. It won't be the same without him, lets put it that way.
