Books that inspire you Out of all the books that have been published in the last several years, Soul Surfer has inspired me more than any other. ***spoiler alert*** The story of a young girl who is attacked by a shark, loses her arm, and then fights to get back to surfing, is an amazing inspiration. Through her faith in God, and the support of her friends and family, she does exactly that. What are some of your favorite underhyped books? 📣 . I’ve become a big fan of ebooks the last couple of years, I’ve spent a lot of time (maybe too much 😁?) looking for YA fairytale retellings & YA fantasy/romance novels. The Bird and The Sword was one of the stories I found and I.just.loved it 💗. The setting is a combination of medieval and historical fantasy. Cozy Readin’ ☕️🏡 Patricia Wentworth is one of my favorite go to authors for a cozy read. Just finished this lovely book in Alan Bradley’s Flavia de Luce mystery series. Here’s a quick review: Flavia de Luce feels like a fish out of water, as she navigates the murky waters of an All Girls’ Canadian boarding school. Far away from her family and faithful friend, Dogger, will she find her place in the school? When a dead body appears down the chimney, Flavia is immediately caught up in interviewing suspects, figuring out who is friend or foe, and tracking down the evidence. Will she solve the crime? Will she return to her Beloved Buckshaw? Putting on different personas is like pulling rabbits out of a hat for Flavia. You never know what she’ll do next. I’ll rate this cozy mystery ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ and a half ⭐️.
