The Boys | 2.08 What I Know

johnny who becomes infatuated with you after being revived

had a close friendship with you before the mission. sparring buddies, bar hopping partners, co-conspirators in tormenting simon

embraces you tightly before leaving. promises he'll be back to take you out for a nice dinner (as friends wink wink nudge nudge)

feeling your world crash around you as johnny's body is wheeled past you into medical, staring slack jawed and teary eyed at kyle who just shakes his head, steering you away from an obviously unapproachable captain price

opening your door to a smiling john mactavish two weeks later, almost falling over at the sight of him standing so casually in the hallway with his hands shoved into the pockets of his jeans ready to walk you to morning briefing

johnny wrapping an arm around your waist and tugging you toward him in a way that's far too intimate to be friendly. you playing along because you figure he just really missed you after being under isolation for so long

realizing something is off when he kisses your hand before parting ways to go to your individual posts for the day. not really minding it

catching his lovesick stares from across the room. it gets to the point where your peers start to point it out, casting sideways glances across the gym to the man who's doing nothing but leaning against the wall, his muscular arms crossed over his chest with a dopey grin painted on his face

starts absolutely spewing pet names. called you 'love' before, but you start to wonder if he's forgotten your real name when names such as 'bunny', 'sweetheart' and 'princess' start to take over

turns the clinginess up to one thousand. spent a good bit of time with you before, but now whines when you say he has to leave your room so you can go to bed

convinces you to let him stay because why wouldn't you! he's spent the night in your room before. the only difference is he was sleeping on your couch instead of next to you in bed, but hey, johnny just needs to be near you after his 'incident' as he calls it

waking up to johnny snuggled into your chest. arms tightening around you when you try to wiggle out from his grip

"stop that."

"johnny, i should - "

"should go back to sleep. should let me stay right here." you do.

watching speechless as johnny dumps his clothes into your dresser. half listening to him as he says it's easier this way since he plans on staying over every night, only thinking about how you're going to hold up against the puppy dog eyes that will be begging you to let him sleep in your bed

Being in a relationship with Adam Smasher would consist of (Corpo!Reader):

You wondering how the fuck it happened.

Everyone else wondering how the fuck it happened.

Becoming the talk of Arasaka and Night City simply because it fucking happened (how???).

Meanwhile, Smasher doesn't think much of the hoopla and speculation because he'd BEEN claimed you as his. He doesn't call just anyone a cut of fuckable meat.

Finding out that apparently, Adam has something of a nickname for you. Asking him yields zero answers.

You turning the tables and calling him a cut of fuckable chrome and to your surprise, he responds with a simple "Heh."

Living but... not living with him. Not really. He's almost always gone anyway. It's also really your place but Adam made himself comfortable and... the rest is history, you guess.

You're actually more likely to see him when you're at work because he's practically taken over your office, too. By just sitting there.

Smasher liking to scare the ever-living shit out of you. He doesn't talk unless necessary; whenever the quiet ambiance of your space is broken by him suddenly talking, you tend to jump. And it amuses him.

Wondering what Smasher's doing or thinking about whenever he's silently making a dent in your office couch. Apparently, he's mostly watching you. Because you're his cut of fuckable meat of course.

Smasher isn't one for jealousy (so he would have you believe) because who the fuck would be dumb enough to challenge him for what's his? However, he can and will make reinforce his claim should some pathetic fuck try their luck with you. This... surprises you? ...Why does this surprise you? This is Adam Smasher we're talking about.

Rubbing that big chrome dome of his, and Smasher going "Mmmm," but because he's borg'd the fuck up, it's an oddly soothing low mechanical purring. This is perhaps the only other sound you've ever heard him make.

Sometimes, when you're tired of working, you'll just slump down on the couch and lean against Adam. And he'll let you, too. For a little bit. Then he'll be an asshole and go, "Can you really afford to take a break now?" Fuck off, Smasher.
