Is because we wanted to meet each other first before committing to the relationship and taking the next step. It was mostly his idea, and when he explained his reason, I somehow understood why. It made me realize that I was ready to jump into a relationship just because I wanted to love someone and receive some sort of affection by it. We are currently taking it slow, not a snail's pace but more of a slow walk, enjoying the view and each other, getting to know more about each other.

Hey, my bf lives in the USA and we have a lot of miles between us and 6hours different. I know it's hard sometimes but I'm managing okay. Hi. Maybe try to ask him how he feels about thus relationship between you both. Ask him if he still truly loves you. Try not to overthink too much. Maybe he was really busy with work or study so he don't get to talk to you a lot? But then I do have an advice. If he found another girl or isn't in love with you anymore. I know you may be really sad but maybe God has a better man for you thats why he let him went to a new path with someone new. A man who truly love you with all his heart will never love another woman. Trust me I know. hey this is my ldr: we got together on erasmus 2 weeks before leaving, we're about 1090 km away by car or train. he decided to visit me 20 days later because I was going nuts and then we spent a few more days in the city of the erasmus living 24/24 together. those days were the happiest of my life, but now that we're apart again I feel him mentally distant again and I'm so sad. we'll see each other again in a month, any advice on how to survive this month?? thanks

Hi, I have never experienced the feeling of my boyfriend left after visiting me but I'll still try my best to give you the advice you need. Well think of it rationally, you both doesn't live so far away not like other ldr couples do which are like more than 6000 miles away which transportation will be really expensive. I know you will tend to miss him but its just a month and time pass by really fast. Don't keep feeling sad or emotional cause making this ldr emotional might just ruined the relationship. In that one month, do anything you need to do. Keep yourself busy. If you're a student then just study a lot. Go out with friends. Just anything. Just started my first ldr and i'm scared that we don't have a lot to talk about or that we're comfortable enough with each other. Every time we video chat and I would has him about his day or talk about mine the conversation would just slowly die and then there's silence. sometimes it nice because we just look at each other and smile but sometimes it worries me that our relationship won't last because of the distance. What should i do? I want to make it work for sure.

Hi, there is no wrong with being comfortable enough with each other. My boyfriend and I are really comfortable with each other as time passed. Well do you guys have common interest? Maybe you can talk about your common interest or having deep talk. Or you can tell him whats going on with your day today, what did you do or you can ask him the same about what he did today and stuff like that. Have you ask him about his hobbies and stuff? And maybe from there you guys can choose a topic to talk about. My boyfriend and I we just go with the flow. We talk about our favourite stuffs, our day, making stupid jokes, deep talk sometimes. It depends. Sometimes we have our awkward silence too and just smile when we look at each other. There's just a warm fuzzy feeling. I hope this helps you. After being together for almost three years with my boyfriend. I came to understand what a relationship really is. You don't have to have an intimacy bonding every single day just to be happy together and feel loved. You don't have to have sex or make out evey single day just to be happy in a relationship. It is about loving and taking care of that person you love for who he/she is deep inside and not from the outer. It is about making each other happy, making jokes that doesn't make sense and laugh till your stomach hurts. Being really comfortable with each other. Support each other physically and mentally in everyday life. I have withness an old couple myself who haven't make love since their first child was born till they grow old but they are still happy being with each others presence. What's their secret? It is not about sex and making out every single day. It is about making each other happy, enjoy their love ones presence around them, being grateful for having their love ones still alive in this world with them and never expecting too much from their love ones. Don't expect too much from your love ones in your relationship because the more you expect, the more unsatisfied feeling you will feel when you did not get what you expected. If both of you ever got into a fight, do not completely ignored each other as it will only make a relationship worst. Sit down and discuss that matter calmly with your love ones. Try to understand and situation and forgive them based on the relevant of the situation.

We just started hanging out this year and he left for university in another country. He asked if I was willing to start a ldr and I agreed. He's my first boyfriend and I have no idea what to do and the fact that it's ldr I feel even more lost. Any tips and advice?

Hi. Will he be far away from you? If not, maybe you could both of you could find a suitable free time to visit each other. In a ldr, communication and trust is really important. I know he might be really busy or if you do. Just let each other know that you can't talk to them because you you're busy and stated why so they know and understand. If you guys got into a fight, its better to settle it calmly through voice call or video call. Don't completely ignored each other, it'll just make the fight even worse. If you can everyday Skype then do it cause its better to talk to them face to face. Don't worry too much about your partner cheat on you. Don't always be so sad or emotional when you both talk. Be happy and lively, makes stupid jokes and laugh you know. My boyfriend and I did that so we feel that as if we live close to each other and it worked. Don't expect anything too much. This might be a tough one, but my partner is in the Australian Army and I get so worried about him, I'm joining the Navy myself but I see so much greatness in him, I can't imagine me being with anyone else. The defence force can be pretty strict at times I'm so worried he is going to meet someone in the army :(

Hey, don't worry too much. I believe if he truly loves you deep in his heart, he won't find another girl even if it took years and years to be with you till you both are able to get married. Trust me cause I know. If he cheats on you or find another girl, that means he doesn't truly love you. Why waste your time holding onto someone who doesn't truly love you. Hi, I’ve been through the same situation as you do but maybe probably worst. It was a girl kissing his cheek and he looks so happy. I try to stay calm and talk to him about it. I asked him who that girl was and I told him to be honest. It turns out it was his best friend/sister. So maybe thats your boyfriend’s cousin or sister or best friend? Well my point is. Do talk and ask ypur boyfriend. But ask and talk calmly don’t get mad all a sudden and ask him to be honest. There’s no point of lying to a person. If things don’t feel the same way anymore, its better to be straight away be honest rather than bring this on for so long cause maybe you might missed your prince charming in the way. And it’ll hurt your heart even more. Why still keeping someone you don’t love anymore. Get what I mean? Sorry Im just in a sudden being so philosophical and go off topic. Hi Racheal! Well, thing is I never met my boyfriend before and its been almost 3 years. Its really hard I know and you'll tend to miss them a lot. Communication is really important in ldr and trust for your partner too! If both of you can talk everyday through Skype then do it because talking face to face or through voice is much better but if you can't, texting each other is also okay. If both of you had got into a fight, its better to discuss it through voice call or Skype rather than texting (itd just the way my boyfriend and I do) it'll be much better. I know you might be sad because you miss him so much but try not to be too sad every time because then your conversation will be really emotional. Keep each other happy, support each other. Hi. Just tell her don't worry. Im not sure how a college life is as I've haven't been there before but I bet you'll be quite busy in college life. Even right now my high school life have been really busy sometimes. This is how me and my boyfriend does. If either one of us know will be extremely busy the whole day and couldn't able to talk to each other, we'll tell them we're really busy and stated why. [Ex. I can't talk to you today cause I'm really busy. I have a lot of study to do.] But even tho if you are busy, if you can talk to them for at least half an hour is also fine. Cause I did that too. But tell your girlfriend it is okay not to talk for a day or two because you are busy. I believe she will understand. You're Studying really hard for both of you future you know. Hi. Well one of you have to put ypur ego aside if you really want this relationship to work. My boyfriend and I do have fights but we never like ignored each other.
