#thanks for the ocd AOG GB x#they’re Pentecostal I was so cooked#like I was there while my mum had terminal cancer and they kept trying to heal her and we had all this miracle stuff like omg#the full blown ‘exhaust yourself to the point you’re convinced you’re experiencing His presence’ kind of experiences#it’s still kind of sad bc my family in Cornwall are SO Christian nd it’s a massive part of our identity and family and community#like my sister in law is literally a priest (but run of the mill c of e at least)#on the one hand I don’t miss my faith but I do also think it’s a shame that something meaningful to me was ruined for me by this experience

not to be giving away trade secrets but as someone who works at an NGO who is doing a lot of work on the ground in Gaza it’s absolutely hideous how often I’m in meetings where the crux is like “we can’t say what we want to say about Israel publicly because they’ll take away what little access we have to provide any aid in Gaza”
#it’s just . UGH#so if you’re ever wondering why x big name org is not being super strong in their language this is why#don’t get me wrong we say a lot of strongly worded things but some words we are not allowed to use#but like most of our staff members including our country program coordinator are being refused visas and we have staff members trapped there#unable to leave etc etc. anyway.
