Sparrow Ben moves forward looking like death warmed up, “So remember when I told you I’m hearing stuff from the other side? Yea well… turns out its your dead brother-“

And there goes the trigger keyword, Ben watches as Five snaps into full attention. Eyes narrowed towards him, studying -no- dissecting him intensely, “And?” Five prompts, impatience seeping through his clinical tone.

“He’s stuck in the void, something about the horror dragging his remains the first time shit went down and then his consciousness the second time around?” And as luck would have it, the nausea churning at the back of his throat threatens to make his life much more difficult than it already is. He pushes on, “Whatever the hell that means- But my point is… no one deserves to be tethered to that place and if I’m a fucking dimensional gate and its already proven that it goes both ways- then… There is definitely a way to get him out.”

“It’s not that simple” Five contemplates looking like he’s already starting to figure plenty out.

Ben doesn’t bother to hold back his scoff, “Why do you think I’m talking to the other dimensional space-time expert?”

So apparently in the prequel novel theres this scene that needs to be brought to light where umbrella Ben used to check with Klaus everyday to make sure Five is still alive(last slide) THIS IS WHY I NEED OG BEN AND FIVE REUNITED

Plot twist where Season 4 is actually a figment of the siblings imaginations. Reginald actually kidnapped them after the season 3 finale and place them in dream simulations. They’re actually in Reginald’s lab being experimented on. Alison is the only sibling who isn’t in the dream simulator. She never lost her powers and still living with Claire and Raymond. She’s scared to confront her siblings due to guilt over how she acted in S3 and assumes her siblings haven’t reached out to her cuz they never forgave her for making a deal with Reginald. Alison continues living her family life until a powerless Sloane escaped Reginald’s lab and tracked Allison down to help her rescue their family.

Gosh, if only, man.

AU idea where S4 Ben gets two girlfriends, Jill and Jennifer. Jill ends up stopping the apocalypse since Ben and Jennifer don’t want to kill their girlfriend so Ben agrees to give up his powers and they all live happily ever after. Or they just decide to give Jill the marigold and end the world together. Sorry for the ramble the idea of Ben’s type being girls he met in different timelines whose names start with J is intriguing to me. Plus the idea of the world ending because of a threesome is a funny concept.

I prefer an end where they save the world somehow, yeah. Sparrow Ben really needs some kind of win. He really deserves better than being alone and scared, and then dying a monster, I think.

I'd be curious though—if Jill had a marigold, what do you think her power would be?

Who would have thought Ben getting laid would start the apocalypse

LOL. Honestly. Nothing good happens from the Hargreeves getting laid. Someone will die.

The Blob (1958) is legit one of my top favorite horror films and I can't decide if I loved that it's also Ben's favorite, and it got a notable amount of reference... or if I dislike that it made Ben and Jennifer so horny they started the apocalypse, wherein they also, coincidentally, turn into a terrible alien blob that consumes everything.

Maybe we could have stopped the apocalypse by freezing Bennifer and shipping them to the Arctic. It worked for Steve McQueen.

i'm not going to accept ben's canon death if only because it makes no sense that ghost!ben's tentacles are covered in scar tissue. i've headcanoned for a while that whatever happened with the jennifer incident killed him from the inside out and, i guess, that's actually possible now, but the marigold/durango mutation doesn't seem to work that quickly. the horrors wouldn't have time to suffer that level of deformation if reginald killed him, so... why are ghost!ben's tentacles so damaged while sparrow!ben's are much smaller and sleeker?

also it's just boring.

reginald killed himself, klaus, and luther already and the shock of him being willing to do that has worn off. having him also kill ben is dull.

kill my faves however you like, but don't be boring.

After S4, I have shifted into a full blown Sparrow Ben apologist.

He did nothing wrong. In fact, I think he should have tossed the Umbrellas around a little more. As a treat.

And then tossed Reginald into the ocean.

i was overdue to draw ben as an eldritch monster again.

I can't get over the protagonist-of-a-summer-camp-movie-is-secretly-literally-a-monster vibes ben has in the trailer!! Did i manufacture those vibes in my head? Mayhaps. But i will still let them fuel me

thinking again about resurrected!ben getting used to being alive again and:

accidentally running into doors/walls because he forgets he can't phase through them anymore

loudly complaining about stairs

forgetting how long and how tiring it is to walk everywhere

forgetting people can see him when he stares or hear him when he talks

automatically looking to klaus when he speaks even if he's talking to someone else because he's used to klaus having to be his mouthpiece

being asked "what's your favorite food?" and saying very genuinely "i don't know/i don't remember"

giving the MOST compliments over the simplest food ("you made this grilled cheese? oh my god... OH my god... this is the most incredible food i've ever had")

being equally surprised and delighted (and annoyed) when something hurts or he bleeds

being rusty with controlling the horrors so they slither out sometimes during moments of high stress or emotion (he is not allowed to go to the grocery store without klaus now)

some of these would be fun first meetings.

thank goodness he was here! “ ben! “ shori runs up to him. arms wrap around his waist and shori nuzzles her cheek against his chest.

Ben's breath caught high in his throat as the warm, solid, real sensation of Shori's arms wrap around his middle and fill him from head to toe with warmth.

Oh, he thought, almost feeling his feet plant. Right. This is what it's like to be alive.

"Shori." Ben closed his arms around her and pushed his nose into her hair. Deep breath. Slow in, slowwww out. "Hey. I missed you."

The Horrors' hissing reverberated around in Ben's brain, but not with Their usual hunger. There was nothing to feed off of Christopher, no fear or sadness to whet Their appetite, not even a morsel of anger. No, the Horrors didn't like Christopher because they were something that even a knot of Eldritch gods struggled to understand—something not within the universe, or even between universes like Them and Their kind, but a stranger something, birthed at the very edge of existence.

Ben tried not to question the Horrors' cryptic whisperings about Christopher. It had only ever given him nightmares as a child.

"Oh, please. I'm perfectly in control of my emotions." He was. He was. He was. "Not like you would know. You're not even human."

Chris knew that he had gotten under 00.02's skin. They could sense it, just like everything else. Back when 00.02 - Ben as he liked to be called by the other siblings- was 00.01 instead of the current Marcus, he was much more... level headed. These days 02 was obsessed with the ranking, obsessed with proving himself to Sir Reginald. Chris had an innate understanding of most things in this galaxy. His "siblings" were confusing, complex and more often than not contradictory to themselves.

The numbers bestowed onto them hadn't any meaning. Not beyond the feeble mind of Sir Reginald himself. It wasn't something that mattered to Christopher, or outside the academy walls at all. The girls, and the fans, and the clubs and the bars that Ben took them to hadn't treated him any different when he was 00.02 compared to 00.01. The only people who did were the others, and dear old "father". That was what the others always called Sir Reginald. It was always our father, or our dad. Sir Reginald hated it. Christopher could sense the way he tensed every time one of the children used that moniker.

00.02 let their tentacles slip out of his shirt and hang in the air between himself and The Cube. Christopher stood there, stone faced. Or at least they would have if they were human and had a face. The tentacles may have been otherworldly, but Christopher was too and only one of them were soft and fleshy. He was not afraid, he didn't even understand the concept of fear.

          The tick in Ben's jaw was instant. The Horrors gurgled in sympathetic agitation beneath their host's skin, but he kept them in check. Christopher was an asshole with a surprisingly sharp tongue for someone with no face, but, for better or worse, Christopher was also the one other Sparrow that didn't usually drive him up the wall.

          But usually Christopher also didn't lie to him.

          One by one, the Horror's tentacles slipped from Ben's shirt and weaved toward Christopher. Ben wasn't about to let Them touch Chris, but he allowed Them to hover there, carressing the air in a silent threat.

          "And what? You'll be Two?" he scoffed. "Is that what this is about? You know you can't trip me up. I can tell when you're lying."

          Could he? Or was it just paranoia that kept Ben on his toes?

The Cube slowly rotated to the left where it floated in the air. The green light from inside of them turning to yellow then blue as a warbled vibration emitted from it.
