Another quilt - this was exactly my jam, getting to skip straight to my favorite part of the process. I love free motion! It's just sketching with a sewing machine.
It was exciting to have tangible evidence that my skills have leveled up; I definitely couldn't have done this 3 years ago.
And it looks perfect with my newly painted bedroom walls. (I chose a color that goes with every quilt I want to use in here, and I stand by that decision 100%.)

Friendly reminder
DONT BE AFRAID TO JUST FROG SHIT IF ITS SHIT
Doesn鈥檛 make you bad at what your doing, makes you strong and brave for being willing to try again
It also prevents life long regret
Sincerely,
Me - smiling through tears - who just frogged one fourth of her current knitting project 馃ス

Girl, how did you get so good at free handing clothes? All the wearables I make end up so frumpy. Share your secrets plz
Thank you!
It's a lot of experimentation. I made many pieces that fit terribly and I still do sometimes.
Always frog and start over if it's not going well.
Also I think, in general we could all be using less yarn. Especially because yarn naturally expands and garments stretch after you wear them.
I do plenty of negative ease on acrylic pieces and about half that for cotton.
The top pictured below is cotton/hemp and has 10 inches of negative ease and it fits well.
Always go for less and plan on stretching/sagging with wear.

Also! Combine stitches for different uses as well as textures! Solids with lace, etc etc.
