i've got quite a bit to go still, here you can see my progress vs what i've done

if you think woah bis! that's a lot of ends you still gotta weave in! you don't know the half of it. i've woven in a lot of ends already! it's just that every. single. square. produces 8 ends! EIGHT. aaaand there's 30 to 38 squares in this project so that's 240-304 ends before even talking about trims and fastenings

i'm sacrificing so much for cool colours

My months of rest and relaxation // day 72

Today was super chill, I listened to the witcher audiobook a lot while doing other things like crocheting and chopping veggies. The narration in the fourth novel is slow af so I am really thankful to the audiobook or I would be stuck forever.

Productivity:

practiced Irish on duolingo

finished my crochet sweatervest and I am so happy with how it turned out!! The size fits perfectly and now I am left with figuring out what my next project will be

updated my reading journal

worked on some posts

sterted to reorganize my pinterest a little bit because it was a mess

looked for hair inspo cause I absolutely need to get my haircut fixed cause it has no sense anymore

chopped a bunch of veggies for dinner

Self care:

read first thing in the morning

started using a mood tracking app since I have no been using trackers on my bujo in a while. I have no idea if this will work out for me cause digital stuff is not my thing but I am trying

Freeform crochet vest I finished recently

Help so I decided to crochet these two vest crocodile wears from one piece I have determined that it would be easy to just crochet them with a bunch of granny squares and half granny squares I believe it was called for the purple one near the ends to you know have that flat yet triangle half diamond shape. Anyways I realize I have come so far in my plans but I don't know how to sew them together to actually make them a vest. Like I know I have to take measurements on my body but what measurements? Also is it like regular sewing or you have like some paper cut out of the shape so you can cut out fabric but instead of cutting out fabric you just apply granny squares to see how much you need? Like how do I make this vest how? Like how do I sew it to be vest shape? Here's the two vests that I'm crocheting I'm going to do the purple one first but I will also do the orange one afterwards so I need advice for both of them.

I made another queer little vest.

This one's from a modern pattern! (If you have more than one pattern you've wanted to grab from Interweave, pay for a month's access; it's 10 bucks, and then the crochet patterns are free, so even if you only want 2, you're saving money.)

It's from the 2017 Interweave Crochet, and the model photo is probably accurate for an A-cup, but on my C-cups, it actually comes up slightly above my waist (I am very high-waisted, so it's like a fancy sports bra).

It is also meant to be snug, so go up a size from your usual if you want room to wear something under it or want it to fit closer to the photo.

The pattern works up nicely. I didn't see any errors. I made mine from wool because that's what I had, and it's never a bad idea for me to have a light layer around.

Also, I question the fact that this is a "ladies" design. I know I say that as a femme enby, but vests are so gender-swappable as a concept anyway and seeing this in the green, even knowing it's fitted on my tits, I still think there's nothing high femme about the design.

My months of rest and relaxation // day 78

My mood is not getting better at all, and I really don't know what to do about it. I don't even know what I am feeling if it's plain sadness, if I am frustrated or what else is going on with me. I know journaling might be very helpful at the moment but I feel blocked and cannot pick my journal up and sit down with it. Crocheting is helping because it gives me a purpuse but when I am not focused on that it's really shitty, I really hope my mood will get a bit better during the rest of the week.

Productivity:

practiced Irish on duolingo

continued the long task of curating my spotify playlists

continued working on my crochet "hobbit" vest (I worked on the second front panel and half way into it I realized the count didn't match with my project so I had to undo part of it and start again)

Self care:

read first thing in the morning

went out for breakfast with a friend

as I was out I went to the bookstore and ordered two books that have been on my wishlist for a while now

listened to a feel good playlist while I was drinking my afternoon tea

started watching the videos from a self care playlist I had put together on youtube as I was crocheting
