“MC? Are you alright?” his tone was soft with you and laced with evident worry. You didn’t respond, too busy burying your face into his chest. 

“MC,” he tries again, “if something’s upsetting you, you can always tell me.”

You tighten your grip on him and whisper a quiet thank you to him before finally closing your eyes and drifting back to sleep. At first, he doesn’t know what to do with his arms, but he carefully wraps them around you and strokes your hair until falling asleep as well.

it’s a rare night where mammon hasn’t made his bed in your room, but is instead sleeping in his own

he’s still getting ready for bed when you come into his room and isn’t too concerned until he feels your arms wrap around him

“Heh, missed me that much, eh MC-MC?” He stops boasting as he recognizes your disheveled state. He turns around in your arms in order to examine your face completely.

His eyes are closed and his words are slightly slurred but it still makes you smile to yourself.
