one thing i love about dave malloy that not many other writers do is that he adds explicitly queer characters to his work but doesnt make it their only character trait , or make them the butt of the joke .

his characters are queer , but theyre also fully fleshed out with complex storylines .

Yup! Kuhoo has liked/reposted some tweets about it (including my own shitpost about "all Velmas are lesbians, just see Octet and Scooby-Doo") and Dave has also talked about it at stagedoor and such. He also confirmed that Charming is intentionally gay and back when he was on twitter, he'd repost sapphic comet art and soldierose stuff! It's clear that representation means a lot to him, and that fact means a lot to ME.
