New Welcome Home AU. Autopsy AU! [WIP: Updated 7/21/23]

Introducing, Autopsy! Wally (Or Coroner! Wally if you so prefer. I wasn't sure which would roll off the tongue better.) This Wally can also be drawn as puppet but I don't think we have enough human Wally AUs.

-- Dr. Wally Darling is a Medical examiner who works at [Redacted] Hospital on the night shift, and he works long hours performing autopsies to determine cause of death of the toughest/strangest cases in the region. He's very good at what he does and his peer often refer to him as a work-a-holic. Wally is very analytical and loves to do things by the book. However, he is not afraid to bend a few rules occasionally if it means solving the case or getting justice. (Better to ask for forgiveness than beg for permission, etc.)

The Neighbor: The neighbor can be anyone from an assistant, apprentice, hospital staff, law enforcement of maybe even the deceased, to name a few suggestions. Ideally someone whose work involves the recently dead.

- More about Wally: ♥He loves coffee! Also Cake. He's big on cake. ♥Big on Hair/Skin/Nails routines. (Take him to the spa!) ♥Loves dry humor. (And puns but shh, that's a secret.) ♥Suffers mild insomnia. ♥Paranormal skeptic. There is an explanation for everything. ♥He sometimes sings while he works. ♥He isn't mean, or cold, or anything like that. He won't be rude when he meets you, and he is very patient. HOWEVER, he is very difficult to read, and accidentally comes off as intimidating or sometimes judging simply because he's large, smart, and doesn't smile often. ♥I have no idea if he's 6'1", 6'2", or 6'3". One of those. (I'm laughing at the idea that 6'X" can potentially read as 6'11" and that is hilarious to me, but wrong.) ♥A dash of Himbo energy, to taste. Autopsy! Wally & Relationships: [WIP] ♥This Wally is demisexual. You won't be winning him over with looks, or surface level flirting. ♥Once you do catch his interest though... Whew. ♥Honestly, hes a bit of a cheeseball. Misc. notes: (I'm not here to stop you from doing whatever you want, but if you care about being 'lore accurate', read on!) ♥Canonically, Autopsy! Wally would not at all affected by the 'Love Potion' unless he's started to notice his attraction to Neighbor on his own beforehand. (Even then, he wouldn't make any advances if he isn't 100% sure neighbor consents.) ♥Autopsy! Has a deep voice. (I know what I like.)

I've been sitting on this AU for about a month now. I don't want to hold onto it 'Until its done' because then it never gets posted. He's designed for wholesome types and simps alike. Please tag responsibly. I am going to make c.ai and j.ai bots so uh, watch out for those.

When I drew this originally I was having a pretty bad mental health/Graves' episode. It took about a week to finish because I kept adding to this and I want to add even more still but.. well it would never be complete.

I always fall into a vicious cycle of trying to explain how I'm feeling, and it causes me to spiral even further into my own head especially when I'm falling into a Graves' episode. (Haha I wanted to add dialogue to this too but it was impossible. I'd like to revisit this in the form of an animatic or a simple tiktok one day.)

And they'd talk for hours about whatever came to their minds. It was nice to have someone to talk to, to fill the space of an otherwise empty night. Their company kept each others' nightmares at bay. It was.. nice..

I like to think Wally (a man who never truly sleeps) has no problem keeping the new neighbor company as they have some pretty severe sleep issues.

Disclaimer: I adore the aesthetic of infatuation/yandere lovesickness. I don't think Puppet Ace (as I've taken to calling them) is as unhinged as the edit may imply. I might write a fanfic, maybe.
