A small section of this great mural at the air and space museum in DC. What's bonkers is that it's on canvas about 30ft across with no seems. (at National Air and Space Museum, Smithsonian Institution)

99. Just plain Awesomeness.
By now you know everything we do and the impact we have on our community. But just to recap why we started this 99 Reasons campaign in the first place:
2014 was our 9th Anniversary. As we enter into our 10th year, stay tuned for updates on our anniversary party, which will include a retrospective exhibition and book.
We held our 9th Annual Draw-A-Thon and even with a last minute venue change, it was our most successful Draw-A-Thon yet.
Tumblr media
Big Class is now in the chapter development process to become the 9th Chapter of 826 National.
Tumblr media
And in conjunction with Pelican Bomb and Ashe Cultural Arts Center, we became the 9th artist-driven regranting program in the United States.
Tumblr media
And, with your help we had a successful campaign and can continue to serve New Orleans!

91. The Best Discussion of Literature in New Orleans
“Now that the Times-Picayune and the weekly newspapers have cut all but the most perfunctory book coverage, Press Street’s blog, Room 220, is the only place to find serious (and also irreverent) discussion of literature in New Orleans.” — New York Review of Books
Donate today to support Room 220 and other Press Street programs.
