what  kind  of  ‘i  love  you’  are  you?

the  confession when  you  say  "i  love  you,"  it  carries  the  whole  weight  of  your  heart.  it  feels  like  closing  your  eyes  and  stepping  off  a  cliff.  maybe  you've  been  planning  to  tell  them  for  days  now,  or  maybe  it's  just  slipped  out  without  you  realizing,  either  way,  it  was  inevitable.  it's  relief  and  dread  all  at  once,  it's  mortifying  yet  hopeful.  the  words  hang  heavy  and  suspended  in  the  air,  thick  enough  to  choke  on,  a  brief  and  perilous  moment  against  the  mortal  pull  of  gravity. stolen  from:  @thestupidmeanone tagging:  @eriidanus  +  anyone  else!!

thank  you  sm  for  submitting  this,  aaa!  (and  feel  free  to  send  more  if  you'd  like,  hehe.  I've  got  loads  of  headcanons  and  different  verses  for  her  after  plotting  for  so  many  years  that  kind  of  just  need  to  be  released,  lmao.) v:  i  have  seen  the  darkness  brought  to  light  ;  and  it  disgusts  me    /    project  freelancer. obviously,  we  know  how  things  went  with  RvB's  canon:  tex  is  a  clone  of  allison,  destined  to  fail  over  and  over  again.  true  safety  and  peace,  wasn't  felt  really  until  restoration  when  she  and  church  walked  into  the  white  void,  hand  in  hand.  there  was  no  worries  about  succeeding  or  failing,  just  being.  now,  pre-restoration?  ooh  boy,  it's  been  a  fucking  ride,  I'll  tell  you  that.  that  being  said,  it  was  more  small  moments,  nothing  really  extended.  hanging  out  with  the  blues  on  blood  gulch,  messing  with  the  reds,  (it  made  church  happy),  any  time  she  got  to  spar  them,  she  was  relaxed.  mind  cleared,  didn't  need  to  necessarily  look  over  her  shoulder,  wondering  if  the  Director  or  the  other  Freelancers  would  arrive.  something  that  she  wished  went  on  longer,  if  it  could. tldr;  the  safest?  being  on  blood  gulch  with  the  reds  and  blues. v:  blood  pirouettes  and  full  metal  shots  ;  we  were  born  for  war    /    halo. an  alternate  and  expanded  universe,  fully  plotted  in  collaboration  with  @eriidanus,  allison  was  conscripted  in  class  I  of  the  spartan-II  program,  alongside  john-117,  samuel-034,  and  the  rest  of  blue  team.  some  of  her  fondest  moments  of  safety,  started  first  at  the  conscription,  training  with  her  new-found  family.  sure,  it  was  preparing  for  danger,  training  for  the  sake  of  humanity,  but  running  obstacle  courses  with  kelly,  sparring  with  john,  sneaking  out  in  the  middle  of  the  night  just  to  stare  at  an  unknown  sky,  an  unknown  world,  there  were  no  worries  then.  safe  is  with  her  fellow  spartans  -  they're  watchful  eyes,  familiarity,  an  unspoken  connection  from  years  around  each  other,  that  even  in  the  middle  of  a  mission,  she  knows  she's  safe.  safety  is  few  and  far  in  between  post  the  fall  of  reach,  and  especially  post  escaping  the  ark  with  Arbiter.  she  believed  john  was  gone,  and  the  single-most  important  form  of  safety  she  had  was  gone.  and  from  there?  she's  enlisted  in  a  new  program,  codenamed  project:  freelancer.  now,  while  I  keep  most  of  that  canon  to  RvB  for  the  sake  of  ease,  with  some  alterations:  allison  is  not  a  clone,  but  there  is  a  weird  obsession  from  the  director,  and  she  does  go  rogue  from  the  program.  there  is  a  solid  two  years  of  continual  go  go  go  go  go  keep  running  keep  fighting,  being  hunted  down  from  other  freelancers  to  silence  her.  peace  and  safety  isn't  felt  for  four  years  (2553  -  2557).  not  until  she  enlists  the  help  of  commander  lasky,  is  brought  aboard,  the  UNSC  infinity,  and  not  until  she  sees  john,  very  much  alive  and  well. tldr;  during  her  conscription  of  the  spartan-II  program  before  the  class  graduated  per  emergency  protocols.
