Rewatching Mad Max: Fury Road and god, I just love this scene so much.
Angharad stated her ideal earlier when she screamed “no unecessary killing!” when Furiosa was about to kill Nux. But in this scene, this blink-and-you-miss-it scene, she showed us how seriously committed she was to that ideal. “I can’t” doesn’t mean she didn’t know how to reload the clip. It means that she couldn’t take part in killing, no matter which part.
Angharad has always been my favorite character in the movie. Mad Max world was so broken that every character could only focus on surviving. And that’s understandable. But Angharad, she didn’t just want to survive. She didn’t only want to escape, she had an ideal, that ideal being “we are not things”. She showed the other women her ideal, and she wanted to go with them. She hated those who killed the world, but she knew the War Boys were just puppets, just children being brainwashed.
Angharad was perfect, not just her flesh but also her mind. Which, in my opinion, is the reason she bore a perfect baby. Because she was the most humane one in that world.

Is it a waste?
I can't stop thinking about the morphling who sacrificed herself to save Peeta in Catching Fire. We - as the readers who have reached the ending - know that her effort, her body, her life, weren't a waste. But did she know? When she risked everything to save Peeta, did she know the revolution would succeed? She couldn't have known. And that is the essence of a revolution. People risking their lives to contribute a seemingly small part to something bigger, with the hope for a chance of a better world. Cinna with his designs that cost his life, the tributes who agreed on keeping Katniss and Peeta alive, Prim healing injured people,... Each of their contributions wasn't much, but together, it made the revolution.
What about the "first ones"? The first ones who raise their voice to point out that "this isn't fair" don't usually meet a good end. And that brings me to Sejanus. I think, in district 12, in district 2, and even in the Capitol, someone remembered him. Someone watched in silence when he said our freedom was something we were born with. And someone felt a fire in them, caught by his words.
Nothing is in vain.

This scene is bittersweet. Prim acting like the big sister here, taking care of Katniss. Katniss being comforted by Prim and then left with Buttercup. I bet they even rolled their eyes, looking at each other. It was very cute and funny.
But after everything… After everything, they did keep each other company. They did listen to Prim, eventually.

Love this detail where Vi first got back to the Lanes and took a deep breath. Throughout the series we see Zaun people show their feelings about the city in different ways: some want to make it better, some want to get out of it, some want to rule it. But in this scene the feeling is shown in a much more gentle way. Vi loves undercity, it’s her childhood, her best and worst memories. There’s another scene which Silco threatened the city bosses by toxic gas and told them to remember where they came from. The air down there is anything but fresh and pleasant (especially in the Lanes, which i assume located in a deep level of Zaun), it’s an embodiment of the disparity between Piltover and Zaun. Enforcers had their masks on everytime they went down the Lanes in act 1. And here Vi just… took a deep breath. Like it’s not just something so polluted, so toxic. It’s what she had missed for years in prison. It’s her freedom and her home.

I keep thinking about how delicate Jinx’s hands look and if they could just have one peaceful moment together maybe Vi would tell her how pretty her hands are.. how she has grown up so beautiful and smart and looks just like their mother and how much she has missed her Powder.. i just keep thinking—-
