shoutout to the time in 2021 I was having scary seizurelike episodes that sent me to the neurologist, after having barely slept all week due to being a nervous wreck over my symptoms and shit.
when I sat down to describe what I was going through to the (young, very soft spoken) phys assistant taking my notes I started audibly almost crying . The whole time he’s furiously working on a tablet thing that I assumed he was writing my symptoms down on
in the midst of me having a mild nervous breakdown during my monologue he slowly turns the tablet to me after closing whatever program he had open and just fuckin stare-smiles at me all placidly til I notice the wallpaper the laptop is set to— a lovingly decorated collage of Lord Farquaad from Shrek
once I noticed I stopped dead in my tracks and we sat there staring at another for a solid minute til I broke down wheeze laughing, upon which he picked up the tablet and scurried off wordlessly. I just sat there dumbfounded til the doc showed up. 10/10 doctor experience ngl
I didn’t own a phone at the time to get any proof so this my best artistic recreation

somewhere out there right now is a kid with curly hair being raised by people who have wavy hair at best and those people are giving them 2-in-1 shampoo and conditioner and telling them to dry brush it. and that kid is gonna spend all of middle school and high school hating their hair and moping over the flat iron. they're being told right now that if they don't dry-brush their curl pattern into oblivion every morning it means they're unkempt and gross even though they naturally have the kind of ringlets that a thousand bridezillas would commit horrible murders for every june. it's happening right now it's an absolute epidemic and a tragedy every time
#this was me growing up#my mother has fine straight hair#she did her best but man she did not know how to help me with mine#and I ended up hating my hair for a long long time#I even cut most of it off into a VERY short pixie cut#but then I learned how to better care for it as it's grown back#and now I love it

My favorite part of a new war is a couple days after the bombing starts and we get news articles like “what is the strait of hormuz and why is it important?” because american voters are lower than cattle and don’t understand cause and effect until they’re noticing the effect and need it explained to them

genuinely wild to me when I go to someone's house and we watch TV or listen to music or something and there are ads. I haven't seen an ad in my home since 2005. what do you mean you haven't set up multiple layers of digital infrastructure to banish corporate messaging to oblivion before it manifests? listen, this is important. this is the 21st century version of carving sigils on the wall to deny entry to demons or wearing bells to ward off the Unseelie. come on give me your router admin password and I'll show you how to cast a protective spell of Get Thee Tae Fuck, Capital

Remember, when Russians bomb nuclear plants in Ukraine it's bad and reckless and can cause radioactive contamination, but when Jews bomb nuclear plants in Iran that is so good and peace-pilled. That's because the Ukrainian nuclear facilities are shitty and old and Iranian ones are designed to get bombed, so it's actually cruel not to bomb them

We've officially come full circle.
Donald Trump, who was heavily critical of W. for getting us involved in the Iraq War, has now gotten us involved with fighting Iran.
This is definite clown world.
Trump made a deal with the Bush Neocons to do this war in exchange for allowing him a second term. I wasn’t the only one calling it over a year ago, well before the election. It’s clowns all around. 🤡
