I think about 99 a lot, and I’ve been meaning to make this comic for a while. We don’t get a lot of cannon information about him and TBB, but it is heavily implied they were close with him. I think Echo would have a lot of conflicting emotions about being with him when he died, especially after joining the batch. He knew Hevy had a stronger connection with him, and would have learnt that the boys would have had as well, and yet he was the one there. I think there would be a lot of guilt around it. He hadn’t been able to save Hevy, he hadn’t been about to save 99, he hadn’t been able to save himself. Still, I think he was the perfect person to be there for him.

Do you have any hyper-fixations that aren't military related? Personally I have a whole swarm of house plants, and get really into needle crafts and a few specific video games in rotations

Well…

I tend ta fiddle a lot, and Tup sometimes lets me braid his hair if I have nothin’ ta focus on. I have loadsa hair bands that, y’know, I’ve found. I can’t tell ya the number of times the guy’s walked away with some new style that I’d discovered!

I doodle a lot, too. I have sheets of flimsi and graphite sticks back at home base that I had gifted ta me by some of my vod…probably because they were sick of me doodling on everything else!

Otherwise, I don’t really have non-military hyper-fixations, ‘cause the Long Necks and my trainers kinda steered me towards weaponry and other “useful” things.
