My name is Ruby. There’s a bit of lore behind my name but it really was just named after the gemstone.
But I have to live in constant fear of people thinking I’m named after Ruby Rose specifically
Tumblr media
I’m trans and stole my name from a streamer. Not even his biggest fan or anything I just heard the name Tanner and liked it, so now I’m curious where everyone else got their names from.

Speaking as an American, the whole thing with the flag is really really weird
Why’s it so bad to let it touch the ground? Like it’s a bad thing if the American flag touches American soil? And besides, it’s just a decorated piece of cloth, it’s not the fuckin Declaration of Independence or some shit. That shit gets put on everything: American flag table clothes, American flag plates, American flag shoes, the things that touch the ground by design
And I can see wanting a particular fold for a soldier’s funeral or whatever, but why do we act like Uncle Sam himself is going to drag you to hell for folding the flag the wrong way?

Did they even make Lilo autistic in the new movie? I can’t tell for sure because I haven’t seen the movie (and I kinda don’t want to) but I swear the trailers paint her as a completely different character than the original was
nani in the original movie: i'm literally the only one who understands lilo, she's too autistic for the 2000s to handle and everyone else gives up on her or treats her like the problem. if anything happens to her i feel like i'm going to lose myself. literally everything i do in my life is so that i can keep custody of my sister and never have to have her separated from me, also this is lowkey a metaphor for colonialism
nani in the live-action movie: she'll be fine. im going to college

One of my biggest problems with country music is how elitist it all is. So, so many country songs are all just about how cool and awesome the singer is for “being country” and how lame and awful them there City folk is
That and also just a ton of sex and how much they want that girl that’s not like other girls and whose also country and yadda yadda. They have this weird inability to talk about women like they’re human beings

I hate breathing. Genuinely and unironically. Such a stupid concept. Like I have to just, constantly breath, all day every day, forever, or I die? That sucks
And there’s so many ways to run out. If my nose is running I can’t breath through it. If I run too much I can’t breath well. If there’s too little or too much air I perish, and the air has to be just right, can’t be even a little off. If anything covers my face wrong I just die. And this means I can’t stay underwater, like it pains me so much my underwater time is limited to 40 seconds max
And for what, because my needy cells want it? For what? To barter it amongst themselves? To make it into little towers? Dumb stupid concept
any deep breathers online? any fans of a really good deep breath? how about a nice hearty yawn? breathing in a bunch of air feels so good

Quite frankly, the reason why a lot of transphobia doesn't hurt so much anymore isn't because of thicker skin or learned experience, it's because I've seen it all. I can play bingo with transphobes. Step it up, bozos
we gotta start acknowledging that ‘tranny’ is an incredibly lazy slur. i feel like y’all should try to be a bit more creative when insulting me. start calling me a catamite or something.

Heyyyyyyyyyy so it's like, really important to talk about how transmisogyny affects cis women too but uh, hey you guys remember that it affects trans women too, right? it just seems like stories of trans women facing injustice, or being accurately accused of being trans, get under the rug
What if that woman that got harassed in the bathroom was actually trans? What if that buff athlete who got harassed was trans? Would that still be bad to you? Would you still say something?

To be honest, in all the media I’ve watched, there have been only four ever sex scenes that didn’t feel pointless. Any other time and it feels the same as sitting through a commercial break except I’m slightly more uncomfortable
Also yeah like the other person said it’s so often just the same straight sex scene with a different coat of paint over and over
"sex scenes have no narrative purpose" is such a funny take on so many levels. people will really believe that the whole human experience is valuable to portray artistically except sex, which of course has never held emotional weight or significance for anybody

I both disagree and agree. I think Roxas is perfectly rated because he’s the best
But Aqua as underrated? Totally agree, need more Aqua fans
I feel like the fandom overhypes Roxas and underates Aqua far too much

It feels like anytime they want us to feel empowered they want us to also forget about every other absolute queen in history
"empowering women by sending katy perry to space for 2 minutes" shut the fuck up. samantha cristoforetti was the first female commander of the international space station and she became an astronaut because of star trek. and there is a real chance she is a kirk/spock shipper

Harnessing AI for Creative Writing: A Guide for Authors
Tumblr media
AI for Creative Writing: In today’s rapidly evolving technological landscape, artificial intelligence (AI) has emerged as a powerful tool for authors, whether crafting fictional narratives or presenting factual information. This article aims to support writers who wish to utilize AI in their writing process. We'll explore various AI tools, provide guidance on effective prompts to generate desired content, and discuss key considerations and pitfalls to avoid when integrating AI into your writing journey.
1. Understanding the Role of AI in Writing AI can serve as a versatile assistant in the writing process.
It can help generate ideas, enhance creativity, and streamline the drafting process. For instance, tools such as ChatGPT, Sudowrite, and Jasper AI are designed to assist writers in generating text based on prompts provided. When authors input specific instructions or themes, these tools can produce content that aligns with their vision.
2. Top AI Tools for Writers Here are some popular AI tools that can significantly enhance your writing process:
ChatGPT: This conversational model can assist you in brainstorming ideas, generating dialogue, or even writing entire scenes based on your specifications.
Sudowrite: Ideal for creative writers, this tool helps expand their writing by offering suggestions to enhance narratives and develop characters.
Jasper AI: Focused on marketing content and blog posts, Jasper can help with persuasive and engaging writing, ensuring your message resonates with readers.
Grammarly: While primarily known for grammar checking, Grammarly also offers AI-powered suggestions that improve writing clarity and engagement.
Narrative Science: This tool can transform data into compelling narratives, perfect for writers working on factual content or reports.
3. Crafting Effective Prompts Getting the most out of AI tools often hinges on how well you craft your prompts. Here are tips for creating effective prompts:
Be Specific: Clearly outline what you wish to achieve. For example, instead of saying “write about love,” try “write a romantic scene between two college students who meet at a coffee shop.”
Use Clear Instructions: Specify the format you need. For instance, “Create a character description of a mysterious woman in her thirties living in a small town.”
Set the Tone: Indicate the desired tone or style, such as “Write a humorous story about a cat with exaggerated personality traits.”
Limit Scope: Narrow down the focus to avoid overwhelming the AI. For example, “Write a 200-word introduction to a fantasy novel about dragons.”
Encourage Creativity: Use prompts that inspire imaginative responses, like “What if a city were built entirely on clouds?”
4. Key Considerations When Using AI for Creative Writing. While AI is a valuable resource, there are crucial points to consider:
Maintain Authenticity: AI can assist, but your unique voice should shine through. Use AI-generated content as a foundation, but personalize it to maintain your style.
Understand Limitations: AI may generate factually incorrect or nonsensical information. Always verify facts, especially in non-fiction writing.
Use as a Tool, Not a Crutch: Relying solely on AI can stifle creativity. Use it to enhance your ideas, but remember the importance of original thought.
Iterate and Edit: AI-generated content often requires refinement. Be prepared to edit, rearrange, or rewrite to ensure the final product meets your standards.
Consider Ethical Implications: Always disclose when using AI in your writing, especially in non-fiction. Transparency builds trust with your audience.
5. Common Pitfalls to Avoid To ensure a successful experience with AI for Creative Writing, steer clear of these common pitfalls:
Overly Generic Content: Avoid using vague prompts that lead to bland results. Strive for specificity to get more engaging responses.
Neglecting Editing: Failing to edit AI-generated text can lead to incoherent or irrelevant content. Always proofread to maintain quality.
Ignoring Context: AI models may not fully understand context, leading to out-of-place suggestions. Ensure the content aligns with your overall narrative.
Using Too Many Overly Technical Terms: If your audience is not familiar with specialized jargon, AI-generated text may become confusing. Tailor language to your target readers.
Inconsistent Voice: If you rely on AI for multiple pieces of content, it may create inconsistencies in tone. Regularly review and adjust to keep your brand voice cohesive.
Incorporating AI into your writing process can open new avenues for creativity and efficiency. By utilizing tools effectively, crafting thoughtful prompts, and adhering to best practices, authors can enhance their writing endeavors. Remember, while AI is a powerful ally, your unique voice and vision are irreplaceable. Embrace the technology with an open mind, and watch your writing flourish.
With these insights, you’re well-equipped to begin your journey of integrating AI into your writing. Happy writing! AI for Creative Writing :)
