I feel like once Remy became a dad his coat was equipped to handle every emergency: snacks, toys, diapers.

Trying to decide who the little bear is from. When I was small and my little brother was born I picked out a little stuffed kangaroo from the gift shop (my dad took me) and I gave it to my brother. It was tiny and in my mind the little pocket bear was picked from the hospital gift shop for baby LeBeau.

Also I long for cold weather.

Death's hands slid beneath her body and brought her weight to rest against him. Her head tilted forward as he adjusted his grip. She felt so small and fragile, not at all like the hurricane of a woman the man inside Death had known.

He knew he had loved her once. But those emotions were lost to him now. Gone with everything else that had made Remy LeBeau a man.

Left in his wake was an angel of death cradling the only tether to the life he once had.
