My favorite simple wards to guard the home
Hanging rosemary above the doorstep, and/or above doors of the house for protection.
Sprinkling a line of dried red pepper on a windowsill, to counter a curse.
Placing a mix of dried & ground eggshells and black pepper in every corner of a room to keep out unwanted spirits.
Placing a decoration representing a witch in the kitchen, to keep away illness and to favor health.
Crafting an effigie (no matter how crude!) and make it into the guardian of your home by charging it with your intent of protection and placing it near the front door.
Crafting small witch ladders to hang around the house.

Happiness and Prosperity Cooking Oil
If you've followed me for any period of time, you know I love kitchen witchcraft! This recipe is for a cooking oil, but you could also use it to dress objects, candles and yourself! Used in combination with other charged magical foods or even on it's own, you can build quite the potent spell. A drizzle of this in your pasta, or over fish or to stir fry vegetables adds a dash of magic to your meal and draws all those good things towards you!
Ingredients
Olive Oil (associated with peace and healing)
Bay Leaf (wealth, abundance, wishes)
Dill sprigs (luck, protection)
Oregano sprigs (good fortune, happiness)
Marjoram sprigs (wealth, protection)
Parsley sprigs (prosperity)
Crush your herbs in a mortar and pestle to release their flavor and aroma. Place them in the bottom of the bottle in which you’re going to hold your oil. Place your hands on the bottle and push your energy into it, visualizing the peace and prosperity you want the oil to help you achieve. Allow the herbs to charge in the sun for a while, or set them amongst some green and gold candles. If you’d like, place some money around the herbs as they charge, or even write your desires on a piece of paper, allow it to sit with the herbs for a time, and burn it using one of the candles. Once your herbs are charged to your liking, pour the olive oil over them, seal the bottle tight, and leave in a cool, dark place. The herbs will infuse the oil even more over time, so this grows stronger with age. You can strain it if you like as well. Use it in any recipe you wish, though it would work especially well in tomato based dishes.
(I'm cleaning up my blog and reposting some of my spells/etc that were once hosted on my website.💕)

daily practice ⋆·˚ ༘ *
❃゜・。. ・°゜✼ ゜°・ . 。・゜❃・。. ・°゜✼ ゜°・ . 。・゜❃
the act of daily practice if often very misunderstood. a daily practice does not mean to do spells and rituals every single day in order to be a witch. it is not necessary for a daily practice to be huge or something specifically special.
you may even find yourself so distant from your craft that you put it on pause for weeks, yeah even months. does this make you any less of a witch? does this make you any less powerful? no, absolutely not!
we are human beings. it is absolutely normal to put certain things last, especially when there are more important things for you at the time. perhaps you can't practice witchcraft while studying for exams or during stressful and difficult times. or you just can't bring yourself to practice it for no specific reason at all.
just know that this is so damn normal. you should never feel bad about yourself for pausing your craft. there might be a reason for that you don't yet understand! so don't push yourself too hard.
a way to keep the magic in your life, even after pausing your craft for a while, is by incorporating daily practices into your everyday-routine, even when you're still practicing actively at the moment.
now what does daily practice mean?
daily practices are the things you do on a daily basis, regularly. we'll soon get to how some of these practices can look like.
it can help you to stay in touch with your craft, with your power, you spirit guides, deities, etc. even on days you're not drawn to do actual magical rituals—which is NORMAL and absolutely OKAY.
a few examples of daily practices:
1. stirring intentions in your drinks and foods
2. wearing crystals
3. enchant your jewelry and wear it
4. dress according to today's planet ruler
5. put spell oils on your body or clothes
6. use glamour magic (this can be as simple as drawing sigils or runes on your face with your moisturizer or makeup)
7. light an ancestor, deity or spirit guide candle (if you have one)
8. divination

For the home:

• indoor plants such as ferns, aloe, and ivy
• an iron nail driven into the earth at the four corners of the property
• a bundle of lavender and rosemary hung at the door
• painting a protective sigil with clear nail polish on the walls of the home, interior or exterior.
For the body:
• Wearing protective crystals: obsidian, red jasper, hematite, jet, black tourmaline, and malachite
• a drop of rosemary oil on the shoes
• a sachet of lavender, black pepper, and frankincense worn on the body
• writing “I am safe” on your skin
• wearing black articles of clothing
• Adding protective oils to your lotion such as: frankincense, lavender, myrhh, and sandalwood. (Make sure these oils are safe for your skin first)
• carrying rocks (literally any rock)

To Ward a Natural Space

This is a Ward that defends a natural area against those who would disrespect the land. It was taught to me by the Glaoming Folk, and I have since been given permission to share the process in hopes that others might use it to protect their own beloved ecological sites. It is worth noting that this ward only seems to have a range of about 20 to 40 feet, which I realize isn't necessarily ideal, but when strategically placed, multiple wards can be used to create a 'warding net' across an area.
To make this Ward, a switch must be harvested from a propitiated Crabapple tree, which is then split in half to create a pair of sticks measuring approximately the same length. Thereafter, a long and thin runner of blackberry bramble is collected and harvested—ideally from a place with fae activity—and is stripped of leaves. A God's Eye is then woven using the Crabapple sticks and the Blackberry brambles, working one's intent into every turn of the Weaving, before a tuft of Hare's fur is ensnared within the center of the ward. All of this must be done bare-handed, as every prick and drop of blood serves to strengthen the will of the Ward and appease the Spirit of the Blackberry, which lends its power to this magic.
The resultant device can then either be hung with twine, or simply placed in a fitting spot. It has shown itself to be quite helpful in discouraging those who would litter or mar a natural space from doing so. While littering and tree carving hasn't gone away entirely since beginning to use these, it has most certainly dropped significantly—and only in the places where they are employed.

Protective witchcraft
Witchcraft can be a powerful tool for protection, but it is important to approach it with respect and caution. Here are some tips for using witchcraft to protect yourself:
Set intentions: Before you begin any ritual or spell, it is important to set clear intentions for what you want to achieve. Visualize yourself surrounded by a protective energy that keeps you safe and secure.
Use protective symbols: There are many symbols that are commonly used for protection in witchcraft, such as the pentacle, the evil eye, and the hamsa. You can wear these symbols as jewelry or draw them on talismans to carry with you.
Use herbs & crystals: There are many herbs and crystals that are believed to have protective properties in witchcraft. Some popular options include black pepper, rosemary, black tourmaline, and amethyst. You can use these herbs and crystals in spells or carry them with you in a sachet or pouch.
Create a protective charm: You can create a protective charm by combining herbs, crystals, and other materials in a small pouch or container. This charm can be carried with you or placed in your home to provide ongoing protection.
Use visualization: Visualization is a powerful tool in witchcraft. Visualize a protective bubble of energy surrounding you, or imagine yourself surrounded by a circle of protective light.
Call on deities or spirits: If you work with deities or spirits in your witchcraft practice, you can call on them for protection. Some popular options include Hecate, Artemis, and Archangel Michael.
Cast a protection spell: You can cast a spell to protect yourself from harm. This can involve creating a protective circle, calling on the elements, and using candles, herbs, and other tools to set your intention and create a protective energy.
Create a protective sigil: A sigil is a symbol that is created to represent a specific intention or desire. You can create a sigil for protection by writing out your intention and then using the letters to create a unique symbol. This symbol can then be charged with energy and used for protection.
Use divination: Divination can be a helpful tool for identifying potential sources of harm or danger. You can use tarot cards, runes, or other divination tools to gain insight into potential threats and take steps to protect yourself.
Practice grounding & centering: Grounding and centering can help you stay grounded and focused, even in stressful or dangerous situations. This involves connecting with the earth and your own inner strength to create a sense of stability and protection.
Remember that protection is not a one-time event, but an ongoing practice. Incorporate these tips into your daily witchcraft practice to create a strong and lasting protective energy around yourself.

A guide to Protection
i’ve seen a lot of people (especially on tiktok) emphasizing the importance of protection in magick. i couldn’t agree more, so i thought of piling up a few of my favorite protection methods
Wards🪴🧿
you can use any object you’d like as a guardian to ward off negative energies. plant wards are my personal favorite because working with plant spirits plays a big role in my practice.
simply cleanse the plant buddy with your preferred method (avoid using white sage if you’re not indigenous)
write a petition paper addressing what your intent is (in this case, ask the plant to protect you)
burn the petition paper and add the ashes to the soil
you may add some crystals to boost up your intention
visualize a ray of protecting light coming out of the plant which circles around yourself/ your home
thank the plant 🌱
there are many options when it comes to warding; you can use a talisman, a crystal, a plushie, spell jars, etc
Sigils
i personally like this method because you can get as creative as possible. personalize your own sigil! this works really well, especially if you’re in the broom closet because they can be as lowkey as you want.
Protective handmade bracelet
remember the friendship bracelets people used to make in middle school? i usually chant the witches ladder and state my intent with every knot that i tie and end up with a pretty powerful protection spell.
Protection oil & protection candle

i’m probably going to make a separate post with my protection oil recipe.
as for the candle, grab a white or black candle and carve protection sigils on it, or even runes or bind runes, dress it with the protection oil and corresponding herbs and meditate with it before lighting it. usually whenever i light my protection candle i’ll chant “candle candle burn so bright grant me your protection tonight”
Visualization
yep. that’ll do the trick. if you’re on the go or in an emergency, you’re most likely not gonna have the time necessary to grab everything and do a spell. close your eyes, ground and center yourself, and visualize a protective white light within you. or simply ask the universe/ deities/ spirit guides/ guardian angels/ god to surround you with protective light. make sure to thank them!
there are many ways to protect yourself from negative energies or spirits. these are just a few. i’d recommend reading the book “Protection & Reversal Magick” by Jason Miller

SOULMATE SPELL
the-witchyforest
What do you need:
A piece of paper
Pen (you can choose any color but red is better)
Red candle (you can use a white candle if you don't have a red one)
Empty bottle
Red thread or ribbon
What to do:
Don't think of a particular person, think about calling for someone in your life that you don't know.
Take the piece of paper and write a love letter to this person, write what do you want to say to this person and describe the type of person that you want in your life.
Roll up the piece of paper and knot it with the string, use your intentions and visualize them.
seal the scroll with the red wax.
Take the scroll and put it in the bottle, then seal it with other wax.
Take the bottle in a fast flowing current of water (like a tub or a sink) and let the intention flow with the water to your soulmate.
