"I'm a K-pop idol. Well, I was...
I'm also the witness to the murder of one of the members of my old group, so they put me in witness protection..."

No that’s good! Still like why kinda hide your appearance, unless this is a personal thing, we get that.
"Well... It's gonna sound wild, give me a moment..."

We promise not to tell.
"Alright, then..." Kim removes a compact from his pocket, taking the small powder cloth and patting it against his face. Almost instantly, he disappears in a poof of twinkling, red smoke, like a starry sunset.
When it settles again...

"Did it work...?" She looks over herself in the mirror, her face brushed gently by fingers.
"Oh, good, good... Now I can put it right back. There, you got your secret, alright? I'm... actually a girl, a really, really important girl.
And this... power, is my stand. It has the unintended side effects of leaving me as charming to the untrained eye as I would be out of disguise."

"Hm? A-ah-"

"You're Kim-san, right? I could tell by the way your hair swoops over your eye. Listen, I could use some hands in the light music club room, and you seem to be pretty strong. Wanna lend a hand~?"
"A-ah... uh... s-sure..."
The girl giggles, taking his hand.
"Oh good! You're so sweet, Kim-san. Thank you. I'm Emika, by the way."

Cheol-soo sits down in the cafeteria with his tray next to two girls, sighing as he starts shoveling the taco meat into one of the tortilla shells with a plastic spoon.
“You got tacos, Kim-san? I would have thought you’d go for kimchi or something.”
He shakes his head at Mikan. “Not in the mood for it, the school doesn’t make it very good anyway. You can tell it tastes like it was made quickly to feed too many people.”
The girl picks away silently at her own lunch, grilled fish with rice, and a small bowl of miso soup. She switches between bites of fish and soup as she makes small talk.
Yuki quietly opens her bento, eating her bun cha with fervor. The grilled pork is still hot thanks to the case, but not too moist, and the rice vermicelli goes down well with it. Occasionally, she dunks her meat in the sweet and sour fish sauce in a tiny cup and adds some of the rice over top before taking a bite. She saves her two small egg rolls for last, dipping them in the last of the sauce and savoring them carefully.
While she eats, the other two converse for a bit. The redhead pulls out a small patch of fabric.
“I want you to see if you can guess what I’ve done with this, Kim-san.”
“Ah, well... Oh, you’ve finished your embroidery pattern along the buttons.”
She smiles. “I did! Isn’t it cute? I can’t wait to modify one of my old teddy bear’s dresses when I get some more thread for at home.”
“It looks nice, Tachibana-chan, you’ve really put a lot of work into this. To think I saw you struggling with it the first day. You’re really talented, you know.”
“E-eh? Ah... ahaha, right... D-don’t expect me to just accept that kinda flattery!”
“He’s right, Mikan, you should be proud of your skills.”
“I never said I wasn’t! I just... Don’t n-need compliments to know I’m good at things, is all...”

Huh, Cheol certainly finds a way to keep getting into situations.
"Poetry, huh..."
"Yes, I run the club, actually. We read poetry from just about anyone and everyone. Our own, poems from authors, philosophers, people making parodies of the art of poetry, anything. We even have a small open box for people to write a poem with no name, we read them at the end of the club meeting."
As Yuki speaks, she strides to the front desk, collecting the box. It doesn't seem very full at the moment, even less so as she plops it on the table with minimal sound.
"Wow... You guys are really dedicated to the craft, huh?"
"Anyone can write words in a format... but that's just the thing about it, Kim-san. Anyone can write poetry, even if they don't mean to, even if they mean it as a cruel joke to poke fun at it. Human language is an art."
"You're really passionate about this stuff, huh?"
"......" The girl turns away, face flushed in mild embarrassment.

"Mhh... Well, I shouldn't be surprised sewing was a bust... OOF-"
Cheol-soo stops abruptly as he looks down at the girl he'd run into.
"I-I'm terribly sorry... Uh... You there?"

"... The vending machine has been stuck for the past few minutes now. I do not want to shake the machine. I am hoping if I keep ordering the same thing, it will dislodge."
The ghost of a frown reaches her dull face.
"At this rate, I am going to be late to poetry club."
With a grunt, the exchange student chucks himself into the side of the vending machine. Snacks go tumbling into the bottom, nine in total. Wasabi veggie sticks.
"Thank you. Come with me."
"Ehhh? Al...right?"

maybe the girl just wants to befriend a guy who’s just a guy
"So... Where'd your friend go?"
"They went to their usual after school club, I usually end up left to pick up the rest of my part during clean up hour so I can scramble to mine..."
"What club are you in?"
"Huh?"
"Well, I'm still looking to join a club, and maybe I could try it out with your group for today? You don't have to."
"Ah... You sure you wanna come? I don't imagine sewing would be fun for a guy like you."
"What makes you say that?"
"Eh?? You into sewing, Kim-san?"
"Not... particularly, I used to have others make my costumes back home."
"Ohhh, were you in theatre class?"
"Kinda..."
“Well, I’ll tell you what. You can come with me for today, but no funny business!”

unremarkable guy, huh?
"Yep. De-" The doors swing open harshly.
"There you are, Kim-san! You're gonna help me clean up the classroom!"
"Uwaa-! W-wait!" Cheol-soo protests as the girl drags the poor student out of the closet.
"I'm not waiting for you any longer, idiot! You're so stupid... We gotta get through this so we can go home."
"We?"
"Not together! I just mean... i-it's easier for both of us."
Cheol-soo decides to just start ahead. "Whatever you say, uh..."
"Tachibana Mikan, now get sweeping while I get the chalkboard clear."
