i love watching old period pieces because they themselves are a sort of period piece. like yeah the story is set in 1900 but that is undeniably a 70s hairstyle. yeah this is a medieval piece but that dress waistline is from 2004. i love seeing different eras’ interpretations of style while — either intentionally or unintentionally — exhibiting the style of the time the film was made
