Most Wanted | Part 2

warnings:  obvious mention of death and murder, sad traumatized eddie, established relationship, comforting (both giving and receiving), reader already knows about the upside down
PART 1      Masterlist

Eddie’s voice trembled as he recollected the events of the previous night. How he entered the living room to find Chrissy in a trance-like state. How she lifted into the air before an invisible force mangled her body. His bottom lip quivered as the guilt of leaving her behind sank in.
“You all think I’m crazy, right?” He mumbled and buried his face into his hand.
“No,” Dustin shook his head. “We don’t think you’re crazy.”
“Don’t bullshit me, man, I know how this sounds!” Eddie shouted in frustration.
“Eddie, it’s okay.” You were crouched down next to him with one arm slung over his shoulder in an attempt to ground him in his panicky state.
“We’re not bullshitting you,” Max told him.
“We believe you,” Robin added gently. Eddie let out a hissy exhale and shoot his head.
“Look, what I’m about to tell you might be a little... difficult to take.” Dustin began. You shot him a stern warning glance but he continued. “You know how people say Hawkins is... cursed? They’re not... way off.”
“Dustin!” You cut him off.
“Y/n, he deserves to know.” Dustin shot back.
“Know what?” Eddie glanced between the two of you.
“It’s too dangerous.” You pleaded. “He doesn’t have to be a part of this.”
“He kind of already is.” Max empathized with your concern for Eddie’s safety. But she was also always the realist in the group.
You turned to look at Eddie, his soft, sad brown eyes looking back at you with utter confusion and curiosity.
“Fine.” You sighed and hung your head low in defeat. Dustin cleared his throat before continuing his story
“There’s another world. A world hidden beneath Hawkins. Sometimes it bleeds into ours.” Dustin explains.
“Like ghosts and shit?” Eddie questioned. No doubt more confused than before.
“There are some things worse than ghosts.” Max sadly explained.
“Like monsters.” You said as your mind went back to the fleshy monster in Starcourt Mall.
“These monsters from this other world... we thought they were gone. But they’ve come back before. And that’s why we needed to find you.”
“If they’re back again, we need to know,” Max told him.
“That night, did you see anything?” Robin asked.
“Dark particles, maybe?” Max offered but Eddie shot his head.
“It would almost look like dust, swirling dust.” Dustin tried again.
“No, man, there was nothing you could see, or, uh... or touch.” Eddie began but cut himself off when another thought went through his head. “You know I tried to wake her, man. She couldn’t move. It was like she was... she was in a trance or something.”
“Or under a spell,” Dustin added. Eddie’s eyes rose as the two of them came to an unspoken understanding.
“A curse.” Eddie furthered.
“Vecna’s curse.” You recognized the name from Eddie’s campaign.
“Who’s Vecna?” Steve asked.
“An undead creature of... great power,” Dustin explained.
“A spell caster.”
“A dark wizard,” Dustin concluded.
Eddie’s shoulder tensed under your palm as the group shared worried glances. Steve went to say something else but you interjected.
“That’s enough for one night.” You stated firmly, rising to your feet. You gathered everyone besides Eddie in a loose circle. “You guys go and try to find  Nancy. See if she can use her journalistic instinct to figure... something out.”
“What about you?” Robin asked.
“I can’t leave him here by himself.” You explained causing everyone to turn and look at Eddie sadly slumped against the wall.
“Aren’t you supposed to be on house arrest?” Dustin asked. “We drove by your house and saw the police car.”
“Technically,  yes.” You nodded. “But, there is absolutely no way I’m leaving him here when he’s like this.”
The group decided that you would stay with Eddie while they went to find Nancy and in the morning they would come back to devise a plan of action and bring some food for Eddie. Everyone said their goodbyes and once they were back into Steve’s BMW you went back for Eddie.
“Eddie.” You whispered as you crouched in front of him again. You reached your hand out to grab his hand that was rested on his knee. Your voice drew him out of his thoughts causing him to look up at you. “Let’s try to find a way in the house, okay?”
He nodded and you helped him rise to his feet. You took his hand and lead him towards the house before searching for a way inside. Determined not to separate from Eddie, the two of you went to the back of the house and started checking all of the windows.
“Y/n!” Eddie gasped as one of the windows flew open. The two of you couldn’t help but smile at each other and laugh at your luck.
“Give me a boost?” You asked Eddie seeing as the window was about a foot and a half over your head. He bent down a little cupping his hands allowing you to place on foot in his hands and your arms on his shoulders so he could lift you to the window sill. You pulled yourself through the frame before turning back to grab Eddie’s arm to pull him in with you. You struggled a little with his weight, leaning back with your body weight to get him up and through the window, although his height made it a little easier. When Eddie finally made it through the window both of you flew back onto what you now noticed was the kitchen floor. Eddie’s body landed nearly directly on top of you which made you let out an involuntary ‘umph’.
“Sorry babe.” He groaned as he rolled off of you. Both of you couldn’t help but laugh as you lay on the kitchen floor of a drug dealer's house. When the laughter stopped and the reality set in, you looked at each other. Both panting from the strenuous journey through the window and the fits of laughter. His large brown eyes were locked on yours and you watched as the momentary happiness fleet and go back to sadness.
“I’m sorry.” He whispered shakily.
‘For what Eds?” You propped yourself up on your elbow and brought a hand to stroke the side of his face.
“I just- I know how important she was to you.” He brought his hand up a stroked your hair gently. “I’m sorry I didn’t do more.”
“Oh, Eddie.” Your voice trembled and you realized you were crying. You pressed your forehead against his. “There was nothing else that you could have done. All that matters is that you’re safe.”
“I was so afraid that you would think I did something.” He admitted.
“I never doubted you for a second.” You whispered.
For a moment the two of you just stayed like that on the floor holding each other basking in the fact that you were together and you were safe, at least for the time being.
“I love you,” Eddie whispered. You pulled away to meet his eyes. Those words hadn’t been spoken between the two of you yet. There were many times that they threatened to come out but it never felt like the right moment. Neither of you felt like you were in a rush to say anything. You both figured there would be an endless amount of opportunities. Now your opportunities for moments like this, moments where you’re alone, vulnerable, safe, felt finite.
“I love you too, Eddie.”

“Why was Chrissy Cunningham at Eddie Munson's trailer?” The new Chief Powell questioned you from the other side of your dining table. You didn’t answer, you couldn’t. Not after what they had just told you. Chrissy Cunningham found dead in Eddie Munson’s living room.
Chrissy had been your best friend since the 6th grade when you both started cheerleading. The two of you were attached at the hip, like sisters. On the other hand, Eddie Munson had been your boyfriend for almost 9 months now. Despite what the rest of the town thought and your conflicting social circles the two of you were madly in love. Eddie was the kindest man you had ever met, so sweet and gentle. Which is exactly why you knew that there was no way in hell that he hurt Chrissy.
You just sat slumped in your dining chair tears falling down your face in silence as the two officers questioned you to no avail. This had been going on for almost an hour now.
“Y/n.” Officer Callahan waved his hand in front of your face to gain your attention. “Do you know what could have led to Eddie hurting Chrissy?”
“Eddie didn’t do this.” You annunciated each word, your tone dripping in venom.
“Why do you say that?” Chief Powell perked up in his seat, alert now that you were finally responsive
“Because…” You sputtered. “That’s just- that’s not like Eddie. He can’t kill a spider let alone-” You cut yourself off with a sob at the thought of what had become of your best friend.
“So then why was Chrissy with Eddie?” Powell continued to press you. “Was he selling her drugs?”
You snapped your mouth shut and shrugged your shoulders.
“Now really isn’t the time to protect your boyfriend's little drug business. We found shit all over that trailer.” Officer Callahan crossed his arms over his chest with a sigh. “This looks really bad for your boyfriend. If you know anything you should tell us.”
“I don’t have to tell you anything. I know my rights.” I glared at him. “And what happened to guilty until proven innocent and all that American shit.”
“So you do know something?” His eyebrows raised. You simply leaned back in your chair again and crossed your arms over your chest.
“Fine.” Powell sighed. “Let’s say you didn’t know that Eddie and Chrissy would be together last night. Don’t you find that a little weird?”
“I mean with him being your boyfriend and all.” Officer Callahan added. “And her being your best friend.”
“Have they ever met up alone before?” Powell asks. “To your knowledge.”
You scoffed at the implication that Chrissy and Eddie were hiding something from you.
“I mean this is all speculation but, I don’t know-” Callahan shrugged and glanced around the room. “I’m just saying it’s weird is all. He takes her back to his house late at night without telling you? Maybe there’s a possibility of infidelity?”
“Maybe Chrissy wanted to come clean.” Powell chimed in. “Maybe she wanted to tell you. Maybe Eddie got upset and that’s when he-”
“She was buying ketamine!” You blurted out, face red hot with anger. Powell and Callahan shot raised eyebrows at each other.
“Chrissy Cunningham was buying ketamine?” Callahan repeated.
“She said that she’d been super stressed out. Having headaches and trouble sleeping and stuff... so she asked me if Eddie could give her something.” You hung your head low in shame feeling like you had betrayed both Chrissy and Eddie. “But that’s all I know I swear. She can’t drive so after the game they went to the trailer to do the deal and then he was gonna take her home. I couldn't go because of my curfew. But he wasn’t cheating and he didn’t kill her.”
The two officers stepped into the kitchen together and discussed quietly while comparing notes. As they talked you looked around the room, wondering how hard it would be to sneak away. Wondering where the hell was Eddie. If he knew what happened to Chrissy. If he was safe.
“Okay, Y/n.” Powell sighed as he came back into the dining room. “That’s all for now but, because of your relationship to both the victim and the suspect-”
“Chrissy and Eddie.” You glared at him past your red eyes.
“Of course.” He nodded. “We do have to ask that you stay put, we’ll have police outside to make sure you don’t leave the house until further notice.”
And without much else, they were gone. A new officer whose name you didn’t know sat in a parked car on the street monitoring your house and blocking your car in the driveway. You couldn’t sit still with a million thoughts running through your head. After a few hours, you couldn’t take it anymore. You made your way into your kitchen and started flicking furiously through the phonebook. You impatiently watched the dial fall back to 0 after every number and listened to the rings through the receiver.
“Hello?” Finally came in through the speaker.
“Jeff! Hey- uh so to bother you but have you seen Eddie since Hellfire last night?” You held your breath as you waited for an answer hopefully.
“Nah I haven’t. Funny thing is, some girl just called and asked me the same thing.” He chuckled.
“A girl?” Now you were really confused.
“Yeah, Max Mayfield. Sinclair's ex-girlfriend. The redhead.” He explained. “She just called and said she was looking for him. I told her the same thing.”
“Oh.” Your heart began to drop. “Okay thank you, Jeff.”
Your heart started pounding as the anxiety began to kick in. It was the same anxiety you felt when you were working at Scoops with Steve Harrington and Robin Buckley as you listened to a foreign message over Dustin Henderson's radio. Maybe what you thought was going on isn’t really happening. Maybe you were wrong.
“Gareth!” You practically shouted into the phone. “ Have you talked to Eds at all today?” You tried to keep your voice as steady as possible.
“You too?” He questioned. “How did you and Henderson both manage to lose him?”
“Dustin called?”
“Yeah about half an hour ago.” He explained.
“Okay, thanks.” You somehow managed to squeak out before putting the phone back down. Dustin looking for Eddie wasn’t strange. But Max too? Your hands were getting shaky as you flipped through the book again. You figured the first person Dustin would go to would be Steve. When you called his house you were disappointed to be greeted by his Steve’s mother who was all too excited to talk to you. Oh, Y/n! It’s so good to hear from you, it’s been so long. we haven’t had you over for dinner in ages! Steve? Oh, no honey he’s working right now.
So now you were calling Family Video but after several rings, no one answered. You put the phone down and tried again. No answer. You slammed the phone down in frustration as you hit a dead end.
“Okay, okay, okay,” You muttered under your breath. If I was Eddie where would I go? Under any normal circumstances if Eddie needed help or just to get away he would climb up your trellis, pick the lock on your window with a safety pin and curl up into your sheets and wait for you to come home. But these weren’t normal circumstances. Eddie wouldn’t have risked putting you in danger. Where else did Eddie like to go? Gareth’s, The Arcade, Hellfire, Lover’s Lake. You bolted up in your seat as you remembered one of your dates at Lover’s Lake when Eddie mentioned that the guy he got his drugs from lived in a ranch and the tip of the lake.
Now you just had to sneak out of the house. Truthfully it wasn’t very difficult. The Officer stationed outside of your house had been asleep for almost an hour now so all you had to do was sneak out your back door and get your bike from the front of the house without waking him up. The hard part was the nearly 8-mile bike uphill from your house to lovers lake.
By the time you got to the lake, it was dark out and you were scolding yourself for not bringing a flashlight. As you rode through the dark woods you stumbled across a small house with a maroon BMW parked out front. Steve Harrington’s car. You quickly dropped your bike in the grass before approaching the house trying to remain as quiet as possible. As you cupped your hands over your eyes trying to look through the windows for any sign of Eddie you heard distant shouting. Cautiously, you followed the sound which led you to a small boathouse at the back of the house. Now you were at the entrance of the boathouse and peered inside to get a look at the continued shouting. When you looked in you saw Robin and Max standing closely behind Dustin.
“I swear on my mother!” Dustin shouted with led you to look further into the boathouse to see Eddie pressing Steve up against the wall and a broken bottle pressed firmly against his neck. “Right, guys?”
“Yeah, Dustin’s... Dustin’s mother.” Steve agreed quickly with a slight nod but Eddie didn’t budge.
“Eddie.” You spoke up softly. Your voice caused everyone to whip their heads towards the door including Eddie which made Steve wince a little.
“Y/n?” His voice wavered a little and you couldn’t tell if he was relieved to see you or worried that you were there. But finally, he lowered the bottle from Steve's neck and took a step away from him before sinking down against the wall. Robin and Max made a quick dash for Steve to ensure he was okay while you and Dustin made a B-line for Eddie.
“We just want to talk,” Dustin said as he crouched in front of Eddie and began to bring his hand closer to the bottle in Eddie’s hand but he only tightened his grip.
“It’s okay Eddie.” You said just barely above a whisper. Eddie brought his eyes up to meet yours and his expression nearly made your heartbreak.
“I didn’t do anything I swear.” He pleaded because while he was hiding in that boathouse the thing that scared him the most was what you would think.
“Oh, Eddie.” A tear or two slipped from your eyes. “I know you didn’t. I just- I need you to give me the bottle.”
You brought your hand to his and instead of tightening his grip, he let you take the bottle from him. You let it fall to the ground before bringing your hand up his arm and pulling him into you. He tightly wrapped his arms around your waist and buried his head into your neck before letting go of the tears he had been so desperately holding in. One of your hands stroked his back over his denim vest and the other brushing through his hair in an attempt to soothe him.
You glanced over to your friends who were watching you and Eddie intently with sad eyes. You locked eyes with Max who, without a single word just a questioning glance from you and a small nod from her, told you that it was back. Your grip on Eddie tightened as you continued to look around the room to see each of your friends. Each of them looking terrified, thinking about what was to come, each as unsure as the other. The only thing that you were sure of was that you didn’t want to lose someone else you loved and you would protect Eddie no matter what.

Drama Club
Pairing: Eddie x Fem!Reader
Contains: fluff, initial grumpy eddie
Summary: Sharing the drama room with the Hellfire Club leads to Eddie and You, the president of the drama club, butting heads.
A/n: my theater kid is showing
Tumblr media
March was just around the corner which meant it was time for you to start preparing for Hawkins High’s spring play. As head of the drama club it was your job to start preparing for the show. School had just ended and you were skipping down the hall excitedly making your way to drama room. You reached the door and took a deep breathe preparing for the mess that you knew would be on the other side. This year you had been sharing the drama room with another club called Hellfire. They used to work out of an empty classroom but this year they convinced Principle Higgins to let them hold their club in the drama room so that they could use the props and lighting. Drama club met on Wednesdays and Hellfire was on Fridays so you rarely interacted with any of them but every Monday you came in early to clean up the mess they left behind.
When you opened the door you were surprised to see that all of the over head lights were up and not only that but the room wasn’t empty. A boy was sat at the head of a table sitting in the throne that the school bought when they put on Macbeth. He was slouched over an array of papers and open books with a small figuring in one hand and a paint brush in another.
“Hello?” He says to you, some what rudely.
“Hi.” You said awkwardly.
“Do you need something cause I’m kinda busy.” He said as he stared you down. You couldn’t help but scoff at his brashness.
“This is the drama room. I have to do stuff for drama club.” You exaggerated your words like you were talking to a toddler. He didn’t enjoy that.
“Can’t your stupid play wait like one more day.” He grumbled.
“My stupid play? What, you think theater is stupid cause we wear costumes and play apart for a couple hours? That’s literally the whole point of your stupid game.” You put your hand out motioning to the mess in from of him.
“We don’t wear costumes sweetheart.” He corrected you and scrunched up his nose in a way that made you want to hit him.
“Yeah, whatever.” You mumbled as you let the door close behind you. Making your way to the far corner of the room you began to pull out storage containers filled with props and costumes that you had to sort through.
About 15 minutes went by of silence while he went back and forth between painting his little figurine to flipping through his books and scribbling something down in his notebook while you sorted through the contents of the container. Now you were struggling to reach a container on a high shelf, standing on your tippy toes and letting out quiet strained noises. The boy let out an exaggerated huff before making his way over to you, grabbing the storage container and setting it down at your feet.
“There, now can you please be quiet. I’m trying to focus.” He grumbled and made his way back to his throne.
“Who died and made you king?” You snapped back at him. He turned to you and raised his eyebrows somewhat surprised. “We are literally letting you guys use our room. And every week you guys trash it and I have to clean up your mess so sorry but if I’m bothering you then you can go find your own room.”
He just kind of stood there for a second, wide eyed, surprised by you telling him off.
“I-I uh...” He stuttered for a minute as he kicked his foot at the ground. “I’m sorry I didn’t know you were the one who was doing that-”
“What picking up after you and your friends like toddlers.” You huffed as you dug through the storage bin looking for the plastic milk jars buried at the bottom.
“Uh... yeah.” He said softly as he watched you collect all of the bins and place them back on the shelves. When you grabbed the last one you struggled to lift it over your head and place it back on the tall shelf that you struggled to reach before. He rushed over and helped you push it up onto the shelf. He was close to you now his arm still lingering about his head as he stared down at you. You nervously stared back at him really taking him in for the first time. His hair was long and messy, unkept curls falling down over his shoulder. His eyes were large and a dark brown that only made you more flustered.
“I’m sorry, about being an asshole.” He said genuinely, sensing your nervousness he took a slight step back. “I’m just stressed out of my mind trying to have this campaign done by tomorrow and I’ve barely started it and I have like fifteen of these stupid minis to paint and I have not idea how to paint.”
His apology seemed so genuine, like he wasn’t just being polite. Like he was actually sorry. You didn’t know exactly what to say so instead you made your way over to the table and sat yourself down on the throne. He followed after you, watching your moves intently as you picked up the figure and the paint brush and started to fix his sloppy work. He couldn’t help but smile a little at how focused you became. He took a seat next to you and started writing more campaign notes in his journal.
“I’m Eddie, by the way.” He said somewhat nervously as he watched you paint.
“Yeah, I know.” You drew your eyes away from the figurine to look at him as well.
“You do?” He questioned with wide-eyed disbelief.
“Of course I do.” You couldn’t help but scoff light heartedly. “You’re kind hard to miss. You’re loud and kind of obnoxious.”
“Yeah I guess you’re right.” He laughed. A genuine laugh that relieved you seeing as you had sort of insulted him.
“I know you too.” He added softly, turning back to his notebook to hide the warmth creeping up his neck.
“You do?” You asked matching his previous surprise.
“Yeah, I mean-” He shrugged a little. “I sat behind you in chemistry last year. And you sit at the cafeteria table next to mine and-”
“Are you stalking me Munson?” You smiled through a laugh.
“What? No! Of course I’m not stalking you. I’m just... observant.” His final word came out as more of a question than a statement. You hummed a little and nodded your head sarcastically as if you didn’t believe him.
“So what stupid play are you doing.” He asked, trying to change the subject.
“Our Town. It’s about two neighbors in the 1900′s who fall in love.” You explained as you went back to your painting.
“Sounds boring.” He hummed. “Who chose that?”
“I did.” He stared back at you, cheeks flushed with embarrassment and wide eyes. You couldn’t help but laugh. A laugh more genuine than any other that you could remember and he laughed along with you.
“What is your game about?” You asked once you had both caught your breathe.
“Its actually called a campaign.” He corrected which led you to roll your eyes playfully. “The party is fighting a cult who worships a dark spellcaster called Vecna.”
You raised your eyebrows, for whatever reason that was not the answer you had expected. You smiled and chuckled a little.
“Why are you laughing?” Eddie asked.
“That does make Our Town seem pretty boring.” You smiled back at him.
You continued talking about theatre and Dungeons and Dragons for almost two hours before you unfortunately had to go home to avoid a stern talking-t from your parents. You said goodbye to Eddie and couldn’t help but smile your whole way home. From that day on, whenever Eddie was planning a campaign or you were working on stuff for the play you would join the other too keep them company. You and Eddie would throw notes at each other from one cafeteria table to other. And on Mondays, when you came into the drama room, it was spotless.

Summary: Eddie comes to visit his girlfriend working at the video store
Tumblr media
It was a Friday, one of the busiest days at the video store. You, Steve, and Robin were all exhausted and ready to go home. The rush of the day was pretty much over with only about an hour until close. You were going through the large stack of returns and one by one putting them in the rewinder before placing them back in their case and putting them in a new stack for Steve to put back on the shelves. The doorbell rang which drew your attention to an older woman making her way in.
“It’s your turn Steve, I took the last one.” You alerted him which led him to let out a hefty sigh.
“You never know maybe she’ll be the one.” Robin joked making you snicker under your breathe before Steve trudged over to the women to help her begrudgingly.
“You got Footloose in here?” Steve asked after coming back from helping the woman. Leaning over the counter he peered into your stack of VHS’s. You dug through the bin a little before pulling out the tape.
“Here ya’ go.” You said as you handed him the tape. A few moments later the woman came over to the counter where Robin checked her out. As the woman turned to leave the door bell rang again. You weren’t paying too much attention, focusing on the task at hand but the slightest glimpse of curly dark hair in your peripheral drew you away from your work. He held the door open for the lady as she shuffled out cautiously eying the boy.
“I’ll get him.” Robin groaned. You locked eyes with him as he made his way between shelves giving you a quick smile
“No, it’s fine I got it.” You said quickly beating her getting around the counter and following him. Steve and Robin exchanged puzzled glances as they watched you practically skip after him.
When you made your way between the shelves you found Eddie clearly pretending to browse as he waited for you. He gave you a big smile as you approached him.
“Hello, valued customer.” You said teasingly. “Is there anything I can help you with.”
“Well, you know,” Eddie placed his hands on his hips, playing along. “I was gonna ask my girlfriend if she wanted to come over tonight and watch a movie, what do she’ll wanna watch.”
You pretended to think very deeply before grabbing him by the arm and pulling him to the other side of the store. When you passed the counter, Steve and Robin quickly dispersed and pretended as if they had been working and not eavesdropping on you and Eddie.
“How about a scary movie.” You said as you led him to the horror section. You scanned the shelves briefly before bending down and pulling a copy of The Shinning off the shelf. “I heard this one is her favorite.”
“Oh really?” He chuckled as you displayed the case to him.
“Mhm.” You nodded. “I also heard that she would really love to order a pizza.”
“I think I can manage that.” He smiled as he reached for the movie but you quickly drew it away from him before quickly going over to the counter.
“Y/n, what are you doing.” He groaned as he followed after you. You made your way around counter again causing Steve and Robin to once again grab something around them and try to look busy. Eddie met you over by the monitor trying to reach over the counter to grab the movie from your hand. “No Y/n, I’m paying for it.”
You pulled the tape in your hand back out of his reach, scanning it and typing a few things on the keyboard.
“Sorry it looks like this movie is already checked out.” You gave him a fake frown.
“Oh yeah by who?” He said with an accusatory tone. You squinted a little bit at the monitor scanning your eyes over the screen before plastering on a shocked face.
“Your girlfriend.” You said with a little gasp before laughing as he continued to groan about how he wanted to pay for it. “Too late Eds... you can pay for the pizza though.” You smirked as you slid the tape across the counter towards him and made your way to his side of the counter.
“Did you drive here or do you need a ride?” He asked as the two of you walked to the door.
“I drove.” You responded and he nodded a little upset that he didn’t get to give you a ride. “Maybe I’ll try and leave early tonight. Get to your place around 9.”
“That sounds great, I’ll see ya’ at 9 ” He smiled sweetly at you. “Love you.”
“I love you too.“ You smiled before he bent down to place a quick kiss on your lips. You watched as he made his way out the door, to his van, and pulled out of the parking lot, not looking away until he was out of sight. You turned away with a goofy smile on your face to find Steve and Robin leaning with their elbows on the counter and mouths agape, staring at you intently.
“Did Eddie Munson just kiss you!” Steve all but shouted.
“Did you just tell him you loved him?” Robin asked in shock.
“Oh come on.” You rolled your eyes. “Get back to work. I’m trying to close early.”
