[So I decided that I’m archiving this blog and making a new blog for all of my Steven Universe characters. I’m just never on this blog and it makes me anxious about it. I’ll still have my stuff up though in case anyone wants to look back on it or if I decide to go back to this blog.]

Eventually did the irken walk out, holding a bag full of candy goodness. Most of them being for himself while a few specifically for Gir. If he didn’t, the little robot would throw a crying tantrum and Zim did not want that.

He walked pass Turquoise, paying her no mind. Until it clicked into his mind that something wasn’t right. Turning back he noticed the holographic screen. Non-existent eyebrows furrowed. Humans couldn’t project screens from their body!

“What are you doing?! Don’t you know it’s dangerous to be out here without a disguise?” He whispered harshly. “You’ll be captured!”

Turquoise yelped in a whisper, her screen dissipating from shock. Why did he notice her now? A look of confusion painted her face from under her light blue hair before she looked at her exposed gem.

“O-Oh. I wasn’t informed of this.” She didn't need to whisper back since she already had a soft voice.

“Are you sure?” Pearl asked then, pausing to let the gem know she wasn’t their to cause harm. She’d simply wanted to help, and it had become evident that this gem wasn’t corrupt. “Are you lost?” She asked then, brows furrowing together. How did a gem even live out in the wilderness for so long without being noticed? There was no answer. It left her floored, really, that she hadn’t been corrupted.

“I’m with the Crystal Gems,” she tried then.

“The...Crystal Gems?” This name actually mystified her with a mild amount. Her timid behavior seemed to say off for hiding skills to keep herself unseen for so long. Turquoise got the hint that Pearl wasn’t going to hurt her, so she didn’t seem to express any fear towards the fellow servant.

The young quartz peered over at the powder blue servant. After a few moments of peeking she giggled excitedly running over to the Pearl.  “Hi! I’m Amethyst! Who are you? Are you my commander?” She asked as she pulled on her skirt.

Turquoise yelped upon the quartz running towards her and pulled on her skirt. She didn’t know there were any other gems here besides herself. She tried to take a step back from the Amethyst. “H-Hello, Amethyst. I am Turquoise Pearl.”

“Yeah, that’s it,” said the grey gem with a smile after the Pearl took her hand.  “Then you shake it,” Black Star instructed, slowly shaking Turquoise’s hand for a few seconds then letting go.  “So, have you been on Earth long?  If not, don’t worry, I can show you around if you want?”  The much smaller gem offered eagerly.

“O-Oh.” The powder blue pearl looked at her hand as it was slowly shaken before it was released by the diopside. Despite how long she’s been on the planet, almost eons, she still didn’t very well understand human cultures yet. She might have to understand more of it soon at one point. “I have been on Earth for quite a while.”

And in classic Zim fashion, he hadn’t even noticed. The irken was too lost in own mind to properly pay attention to the noises around him as he continued marching down the side walk.

He did stop however upon seeing the nearby candy store. For the most part Earth food was completely disgusting. Except for their candy. Dare he say, they made candy almost as good as his fellow irkens! Almost.

Debating for a moment or two, Zim marched forward to purchase himself a few little treats. That and a few for Gir.

How did he not hear that? Turquoise came to the conclusion that the irken wasn’t much of a threat to her. Getting back up, she walked towards a nearby bench and sat down, completely exposed. But she wasn’t paranoid, knowing he won’t see her anytime soon.

A holographic screen projected from her gem, and she began to drag her finger along it to draw a small picture.

The disguised irken was far too lost in his own thoughts to even acknowledge the other whom took a few steps towards him. He was focused on thinking of his giant sock robot. 

A clawed finger had gone to his chin as he pondered what type of weapons to include upon it. Definitely gotta add missiles. Those were a staple. Oh and the explosions have to be purple! 

To her, this was a good thing. Turquoise took the opportunity to walk at a faster pace to keep up with him. In the midst of doing so, however, the pearl managed to trip over a nearby tree’s root that was poking out of the ground. She fell onto the ground, causing a loud thud.

What an absolutely horrible day this had been! Those pathetic humans dared to mock his sock puppetry in class! Did they not know that sock puppetry was the finest of arts requested by the Tallest? They should’ve considered it an honor that he was gracing them with such skill and talent.

Zim grumbled to himself, already devising a way to get back at them. Maybe build a giant robot with a ginormous sock over it. Yes, that would work! 

Turquoise observed the small gremlin. He didn’t seem to cause any danger on the spot, nor was he intimidating, but he unquestionably stood out from the fellow humans walking out of the establishment, despite his exceedingly lazily-made disguise.

She took a few gentle steps to follow the irken, but she didn’t do anything to catch his attention. Nor did she want to.
