सूक्ष्मवेद में कहा है कि:- गरीब, भूत जूनी तहाँ छूटत हैं, पिंड दान करंत। गरीबदास जिंदा कहै, नहीं मिले भगवंत।। अर्थात् संत गरीबदास जी ने कहा है कि पिण्ड दान करने से भूत योनि तो छूट जाती है। फिर वह जीव गधे की योनि में चला जाता है। क्या मुक्ति हुई? वेदों में इस कर्मकाण्ड को अविद्या यानि मूर्ख साधना कहा है।
