Yesterday I noticed this cool tree by my house and I was inspired to sketch it with my new @ohuhuart markers. Today, I wanted to create more trees with my markers. As I looked at this colorful bouquet that my husband gave me for my birthday, I continued to have “unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot. Nothing is going to get better. It’s not” go through my head. I then knew, I had to draw some Truffula trees! Our impact on the environment has been weighing heavily on me. As an artist and business owner, I am constantly evaluating my decisions and how to decrease my negative impact. I have recently switched to all recycled cellophane for my prints and sticker packaging and I reuse shipping boxes and packaging. I know there is loads more that I can do and I will get there, bit by bit. As far as the sketch goes… It may have taken a lot longer than my usual daily sketch and that ok. It was fun and fed my soul.
