Can't believe it's already been a year since I started engaging actively with the fandom! As someone who'd been following the drama since it started airing, I've journeyed from exactly 3 fics under the GaHan tag to the enormous community it is today and it makes me so incredibly happy to be a part of something that brings so many people so much joy. Also as a lurker, it was an incredibly nerve wracking decision to post that first fic but I'm so happy now that I did! Here's to many more fics that I get to write about these two idiots T_T

The sky was blue today morning and summer was yet to leave me. The smell of my grandmother's suji had tinted the air with a sweetness often only found in nostalgic reminiscence. For a minute, I was nine again, lying in my bed and dreaming of chocolate clouds on a lazy morning. I didn’t need to open the windows to know that the world was warm. Light had already crept in, puddling on the floor beside my feet like a loyal pet waiting to be noticed.

Somewhere from the kitchen, the ghee-slick sizzle of semolina whispered like an old lullaby. She always added too many raisins, and I always pretended not to like them. This morning, that same smell came to me—not just as memory, but as a hand reaching back through time and brushing my cheek. I stood still in it. Let it wrap around me.

I don’t know why today felt different. Perhaps it's the way the seasons shift so slowly you almost miss it. Perhaps it’s the way silence in a house can sometimes echo with voices that are no longer there. Or perhaps it's just that nostalgia is always stronger on blue-skied mornings, when your heart wakes up a few steps behind your body and takes a while to remember where—when—it is.

I lingered near the window longer than I meant to, half-hoping the wind would carry the sound of her bangles, or the quiet hum she always offered the stove. But of course, the street outside was still the same—impatient cars, the stray dog by the gate, the newspaper boy too quick for greetings. Still, for one full breath, I let myself believe it was different.

Some part of me is always nine years old on days like these. And maybe that part will never really grow up, as long as summer forgets to leave and the smell of suji still feels like home.

The sky was lonely today morning. I was lonely with it.

Summary: Ga On has a naughty habit. Yo Han finds out, and makes him explain. They don’t talk much.

Note: This fic is the result of a user comment on my 75th TDJ fic, “Rewrite.” I wasn’t sure I would write another gahan fic, at least for a long while, but a friend’s comment inspired a whole new story and I’m so glad. Please leave comments on authors’ works! You never know, you may inspire them to write something new.
